One holiday in US that I truly celebrate.
Listening to his speeches each time, it makes it crystal clear why he is one of the greatest man the US has ever had.
And I wonder what he would say if he was alive today.

I am not a religious person….
by Bavafa on Tue Jan 17, 2012 07:57 AM PSTAnd it would not be an exaggeration to say that I view anything religious with a great deal of skepticism, mistrust and shy away from. Yet it never fails to bring me to awe and admiration when I hear him speak. His courage, wisdom and vision is of a different caliber, one that we have not seen here or else were since.
Thanks all for your comments.

by Ari Siletz on Mon Jan 16, 2012 10:19 PM PSTI too wonder what MLK would say today. Though I have a good idea as to what thoughts his words would express, Only MLK could say them in a way that all could hear and understand.

by Fatollah on Mon Jan 16, 2012 05:23 PM PSTMLK == Martin Luther King
Indeed, what would he say? Wished for Nelson Mandela was a bit younger, "perhaps" he would have said a thing or two about current ME affairs.
Happy holiday and enjoy.
p/s Nelson M. was until 2008 on US terrorist list.

by vildemose on Mon Jan 16, 2012 05:13 PM PSTIf we truly honor and respect the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we must embrace and hold those teachings in our hearts and put our feet on the same path to seek equality, dignity, and justice. America was blessed to have MLK but, more so, by the legacy that endures beyond. I wish we had leaders like him in Iran.
