You didn't get mad when Cheney allowed energy company officials to dictate energy policy.
You didn't get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.
You didn't get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.
You didn't get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.You didn't get mad when we spent over 600 billion(and counting) on said illegal war.
You didn't get mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq.
You didn't get mad when you found out we were torturing people.
You didn't get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.
You didn't get mad when we didn't catch Bin Laden.
You didn't get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.
You didn't get mad when we let a major US city, New Orleans, drown.
You didn't get mad when we gave a 900 billion tax break to the rich. You didn't get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark.
You finally got mad when the government decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all okay with you, but helping other Americans...oh hell no.

by Brian Appleton on Sun Apr 11, 2010 08:42 PM PDTI'm not sure but I have read that the Iranian healthcare system is the best in the Middle East and Harvard was doing a research study on it?

GREAT Blog
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Sat Apr 10, 2010 06:06 PM PDTI love your blogs. Thank you for sharing these ideas. I would add to this: You didn't get mad when they approved genetically modified food that would put you at risk to cancer and other disease/organ failure, which your insurance company is fed up with paying for which is why they raise rates.
Brian I agree. Allowing people to die of sickness is awful.
by Anonymouse on Fri Apr 09, 2010 06:43 PM PDTMore awful if you know it and do everything you can do keep it that way for more people to die. It's ok to pay for wars with more money than what is needed for healthcare but country goes down the drain if people get the right to see a doctor.
It is shameful but a huge accomplishment for Obama. I really think he has lifted a big burden off his shoulders and is now free to tackle more issues and problems. It is amazing that he was able to do it 1.5 year into his presidency with relentless pressure and mis-information from his enemies really.
Everything is sacred.
amazingly sad but so true
