Quietude

the night embraces me like a lost friend and I am helpless against its charm...
where is my friend the moon who is the sister of the sun...
her face reminds me of the one I love
her hair swept to one side of her golden lips the young night refinds my youth in awe of creatures...
stirring everywhere as their shift begins
and the rest of us are off to bed

If I am lucky perhaps I will even have a quiet conversation with the dead
who afterall never meant us any harm or at least they don't talk back now do they ;o)

what makes a bull flash on red
what makes cupid's arrow twist your head
how can I get her back
the little hamster asks the rat
of mice and men
and dust to dust
and back again
per chance to dream
there is no respite

from eternity in unrequited limbo
it is my destiny to dance until the sunrise
calls my name from the whispy clouds of morning
..
