I can remember those quiet moments when there was lull in the sounds of traffic or in the wee hours of the night, when you could just listen and there it was the sound of running water in the jubes, always in the background...washing the city from the mountain snow melt in the North down through all the arteries and veins of the body and finally out into the desert in the South, where it sank below the sands to form those mysterious undergound rivers...
