Tom Tom Club is a fraking GENIUS band of the early eighties. This song was a pioneer of oldskool hip hop.
You may know Tom Tom Club by their more successful song "Genius of Love" which has been covered and sampled many many times by other bands.
Two of Tom Tom Club's members were a husband and wife team who were also in another great band: Talking Heads.
I don't know if Wordy Rappinghood ever had an official video but TTC was known for their stage acts. The following is from an appearance in Italy. In 2004, Chicks on Speed did a cover version.
