Chapter 11
The Critics of the Cause of God (munkirin-i-amru’llah)
The Ancient Beauty in the Tablet of Habib from Maragha, which begins
with “H B hear the call of God from the direction of the throne by the
protective signs/verses (bi-ayati muhayyimin)..etc.” they [i.e.
Husayn ‘Ali Nuri] enunciate the command (mi-farmayand) [i.e. state],
By God, the Truth, whomsoever criticizes it [i.e. Baha’ism], [which
is] possessed of the manifest, the brilliant, the high and the
perspicuous excellence, it behoveth him to ask his mother [yanbaghi
lahu bi-an yas’al min ummihi] about his origins [or ‘state’,
i.e.‘hal’, meaning he should inquire his mother about his legitimate
conception – trans.], for he shall return to the nethermost hell
[asfal al-jahim]”…
In Promulgation of Universal Peace p. 322 the following is quoted by
‘Abbas Effendi from a prayer by his father, cf. THE BAHA’I FAITH AND
ISLAM (ed.) Heshmat Moayyad (The Association for Baha’i Studies:
Ottawa, 1990), p.23
O God! Whomsoever violates My Covenant, O God, humiliate him. Verily
whosoever violates My Covenant, erase and efface him.

What are they?
by out of towner (not verified) on Sun Feb 01, 2009 11:12 AM PSTFrom what I've seen the Bahai faith is a cult alright!
The ones who keep to themselves and are not trying their darnedest to convert you are mostly ok... but
the rest of them truly believe they will take over the world soon and if you do not accept to become one of them ... well you're in for it!
Initially I liked some of their ideas, but as I grew to know them more and more I kept away. Really away!
But must say SOME of them are nice people.
I too hate what they are doing to them In Iran. "That" is inhumane.
Every human being should have their rights whether we agree with their beliefs or not, as long as they are not hurting anyone.
An Observation
by An Observer (not verified) on Fri Jan 30, 2009 06:27 PM PSTWithout intending to come across as 'offensive', nevertheless, I have to say that my observation of the Bahai people on this site over the past several months, has led me to believe more and more, that the Bahai Faith resembles more a 'Cult' than a regular and 'Authentic' Religion.
It's very obvious that the Bahais who write blogs for this site try very hard to cover that up, nevertheless it ultimately comes through.
to Bahais: tell the WHOLE truth
by not your cup of tea (not verified) on Fri Jan 30, 2009 10:53 AM PSTThere are tons of flaws in any religion, and the Bahai faith is no exception. Sometimes, the followers of a faith, don't know, try to cover up or just trivialize those issues, but the truth should be told.
For example, they Bahais claim quality for women, but in reality, there are a lot of descriminiatry laws against women. There are a lot of weird stuff, such as, if a person steals for three times, his forhead must be branded!
I am not saying that Bahais are the only ones with strange, archaic laws, but they have such a "better than thou" attitude, it becomes disgusting. Admit it, your religion, like others has some good ideas, but too many flaws, and please don't stamp the Bahai religion, as "devine". You're just a fellow human being, with your own sets of beliefs and many flaws. I feel bad for what's happening to our Bahais in Iran, but I also hate the hypocritical (or ignorant) face they put on, when trying to portray their religion to outsiders as perfect!
This is hate filled venom
by Larry (not verified) on Fri Jan 30, 2009 03:48 AM PSTI'm sure the Archives are replete with many more such quotes from Mirza Husayn Ali Baha. I used to think for a time that it was
because of incompetence that a complete works of Baha'u'llah has never been published. Now I'm certain that the truth is that there are so
many more such quotes from Baha which would quickly show the world exactly how vain and small minded Mirza Husayn Ali actually was and of course the Baha'i powers that be cannot EVER let that happen so such a complete works will never be published by Baha'is.
There is no explaining away such hate filled venom. Of course Baha'is will try and do exactly that.
Cheers
Larry

So what?
by Darling (not verified) on Thu Jan 29, 2009 08:43 PM PSTI have one question for you dear Covenant. Why don't you give up?
Dear Covenant
by Religious Student (not verified) on Thu Jan 29, 2009 04:25 PM PSTIt would be helpful if you were to write a short narrative about this piece. There are many who are not well-versed in the Bahai Faith, and do not know exactly how to interprert this.
