Albert II, Prince of Monaco, 53 and South African Charlene Wittstock, 33 will be married. In anticipation of the royal wedding, preparations in Monaco are well underway.

On July 1st and 2nd - Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock will be married - the extravagant celebration will involve a civil ceremony followed by a religious ceremony the next day. Euronews caught up with the couple where they shared some of their thoughts and emotions ahead of their wedding.
Reportedly,the couple is set to marry on July 2, 2011 in the courtyard of the Prince's Palace in Monaco. Prince Albert said he wanted to host more friends, family and heads of state than the Saint Nicholas Cathedral - where his parents married -could hold, hence the ceremony in the courtyard.

Fiancé Charlene Wittstock said they're not giving away too many details about the wedding preparations, but there is talk that her dress designer will probably be Giorgio Armani!

After the media-friendly wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Monaco is preparing for its own wedding. The celebration will take place on July 1st with a civil ceremony to be held in the Throne Room. The next day, the Archbishop of Monaco will celebrate the religious union to be held in the courtyard’s Palace. For those who are not invited to the wedding, the ceremonies will be broadcasted on a giant screen.
Fifty-five years after the wedding of Rainier III and Grace Kelly, the marriage of Albert and Charlene, a South African swimmer, is a unique opportunity to reconnect with the glamorous of the Principality. Charlene will be wearring a Giorgio Armani dress. It is expected that the loving couple will make a procession starting at the Avenue de la Porte-Neuve.
Several European royal families members are invited, as well as close friends of AlbertII. Eric Cormier, the famous French-Swiss businessman, will certainly be honored to be in Albert’s company. And Jean-Michel Jarre, another one of Albert’s friends, will perform an electronic music show on July 1st.
