by Princess on Mon Aug 08, 2011 09:52 AM PDTA candid interview. I must admit I was pleasantly surprized by some of his views. I particularly liked his views on democracy.
Thank for sharing, Darius.
Finally a Truly Profound Interview which was long due
by Darius Kadivar on Mon Aug 08, 2011 10:15 AM PDTTough Questions and Clear Cut Profound Answers in this last interview and interesting outlook for Iran's Future ...
One of the things I found interesting was his belief that:
"Iran Should and can Learn From European History Far More than American History since Iran has had far more deeper relations with the Old Continent which ultimately has served as a reference for it's Political evolution thanks partly to the Enlightment Philosophers but also the lessons it can give in terms of political transitions towards democracy ( Spain, British Restoration, Belgium or the Nordic Monarchies but also France) and the variety of political systems it encompasses ranging equally from Republics to Constitutional Monarchies both forms of which exist in democratic terms. He also rejects the idea of Federalism as a model for Iran which he sees as a danger given the Separatist movements which risk to doom the country."
