DIPLOMATIC CORPS: IRI's New UK Ambassador and Wife On Way to Buckingham Palace

Iran's new ambassador (name?) and wife (name?) on way to Buckingham Palace to deliver his letters of credentials to Queen Elizabeth. He replaced His Excellency Rasoul Movadehian Attar who relinquished his post early October over a diplomatic row triggered by degrading comments on Great Britain by Iranian officials. BALMORAL CASTLE: By command of The Queen, Mr. Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Rasoul Movahedian Attar at 16 Prince's Gate, London SW7, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Court of St. James's.

The defencive, bemused, rather confused look on both Haj agha and his Zaifeh's face also remind me of the old photoes of Qajar kings' trips to the courts of their European colonial masters. Looks like not much has changed in Iran's "foreign relations" during the the last 150 years!
