My soul got enchanted this very early morning when I've listened to France Gall again. That one is my always favorite. Not only I love France Gall and have almost all her CD's but especially I love so much this song. I relate so much to the lyric (and even to the clip itself :))

Evidamment, on chante encore sur les accords qu'on aimait tant.........Mais pas comme avant!

How many times I even cried with this music. Thanks for bringing the old memories back!

Also I loved Michel Berger. I remember I cried when I heard his sudden death. The couple was really something. They did a lot for the French music. Michel Berger was almost the best! I liked him better than Gainsbourg.........and never understood why the French didn't praise him at his just value?

Here are also two other songs which I love from Michel Berger and France Gall:

Quand le desert avance:

Le paradis blanc :

Hope DK will write about the couple, one of these days :)

The good behavior of the people, warms our heart and make us thankful.....  And the bad ones, just make us to recognize and appreciate the good ones!

Azarin Jaan Agreed ...

Well you know ... Mylène Farmer is Wierd ... LOL

But She has an excuse in that she couldn't film in Iran so it was probably shot in Morocco.

My Guess is that Shirin Neshat who is equally wierd and fascinated with all that Muslim Mumbo Jumbo imagery would love this. The Only thing she would do different is put Farsi texts and Shi'ia Art into the clip.

Both Farmer and Neshat seem to be obssessed with depressing themes like Anorexia, death and suicide which is not at all my cup of tea.

But Personally Here is My Favorite Mylène Farmer Clip:

ROYALTY ON SCREEN: Mylène Farmer's "Libertine 1 & 2" (1986/89)

I remember Mylene Farmer...

But back then Mylene Farmer wasn't such a diva!! Actually, I liked a lot the second video and its music which was not her music...:-) But I think Leila's video was made with too many arabic references and it had nothing to do with our dear late princess.

Thank you Darius jan for the videos! It is great that Princess Leila is remembered.

BTW, in my search for Mylene, I found this gem of a chanson ...that back then I liked a lot (France Gall is the singer):

This other one was my favorite because I felt that I too was among "ceux qui sont loin de chez eux":
