Abandoned by her parents and brought up in an orphanage, Gabrielle Coco Chanel went on to build, arguably, the world's most famous fashion house. So it is a bit of a surprise that only one film, 1982's Coco Solitaire, has been made about Chanel's life.
Until now. This year, not one, but three movies are ready to be added to that collection.
The made-for US TV film, Coco Chanel, starring Shirley MacLaine, the as-yet-unreleased Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky movie, which closed this year's Cannes Film Festival, and the French film Coco Before Chanel (Coco Avant Chanel) which opens in the UK this week. As the title would suggest, the latter movie focuses on Chanel's life before she became a famous designer.

Ok I'll keep it for
by Anonymouse on Tue Jul 28, 2009 07:57 AM PDTOk I'll keep it for a week then. Maybe later I change to a JJ's avatar based on his picture mentioned above, in the Paris rally. Although I won't keep his for a week.
Everything is sacred.
I prefer to keep this one
by Darius Kadivar on Tue Jul 28, 2009 07:50 AM PDTThanks for the suggestion but I'm fine with this avatar for the time being.
Maybe later on I will do it but I had technical problems last time I changed my avatar to replace it with Delara's so I prefer not to mess with such changes too often.
DK jaan I changed my
by Anonymouse on Tue Jul 28, 2009 05:40 AM PDTDK jaan I changed my avatar! You can refresh and see. I'll change it if you want me to for whatever reason. Although I prefer you use it as your's and I'll delete mine. You are good at cropping photos so you can make your own.
Everything is sacred.
Yes I saw those
by Anonymouse on Tue Jul 28, 2009 05:56 AM PDTYes I saw those pictures - thus the question. Now this is what I call green support! No ifs and ey and maybe about it. This is it! This is green! Of all the greens I've seen so far this is the best! It is seyed olad-e peyghambar all the way! It is so 2009! May I humbly suggest you crop your picture and use it as your avator for at least a while?
In fact, if you don't do it, I'll do it and for one week starting Tuesday (America time) I'll change my avatar to this picture. So you better do it yourself. I am not kidding!
Now how was JJ? Was he bubbly, perky (perkulator :-) and a morning person like this one or was he nasty, akhmoo and ghor ghor-ghoroo like he always claim he is like this one?!
Between you and me his first 90 pictures or so are crap and I guess he was too lazy to edit them out of his photo album. I didn't say anything because the rest were awsome :-)
I hope to meet you some day some where too and if I do I'll introduce myself as the "mouse" and will quickly have a tequila shot with you and split into the crowd! You'll then have to keep our secret about who I was!
Now if one day Iran is democractic, green and all, I'll be your tour guide with my full name and picture and show you around ;-)
BTW JJ's perkulator picture is an excellent candidate for an avatar too. It is much, much better than him holding his camera to the sky (halo) and taking a picture of himself!
Everything is sacred.
Yes I did ;0)
by Darius Kadivar on Mon Jul 27, 2009 01:34 PM PDTFor a short but great moment But We hope to catch up sometime during the week.

I am honored to have met him.
Hope to meet you too one day ;0)
