I found a striking similarity in style and to some degree in the looks between the Young Mohamed Mossadegh ( during his Student Years in Pars) Former Prime Minister of Iran and French writer Marcel Proust. (crica ~1900's)

Which is equivalent to Citizen Kane's Rosebud ...

Proust get emotional traveling in his memory through his senses. Either the taste of a Madelaine or a piece of music brings back the sensations he felt in the past. So he has found a mechanism to relive the past and understand himself better as a person.

Freud was of the same period so Proust's work appear as greatly influenced by psycho analyisis in general.
