Long Before gaining fame as James Bond, Roger Moore was the dashing Knight on our Black&White TV sets. I recall seeing it on Iranian TV Channel One.
It started with the following trailer where a young serf would Shout his name and good Ol' Roger and his band would appear to save the day from Villians in Medieval England.
Enjoy

by Darius Kadivar on Tue Sep 09, 2008 10:53 AM PDTGee How did we end up speaking about Tits and Butts with Ivanhoe and Roger Moore ? ;0)
I think we need Therapy for our Mid Age Crisis (LOL)

by bajenaghe naghi on Tue Sep 09, 2008 10:44 AM PDTi am pretty sure i saw this interview with david letterman. i still think she was on something since she acted quite silly.
to me she was looking so much better when she was not this skinny. i personally like some meat on my woman not fat mind you just enough meat to make her soft and nice and sexy.
Farrah Fawcett
by Darius Kadivar on Tue Sep 09, 2008 08:27 AM PDTI remember seeing a photo of her in an issue of Time Magazine just during the Revolution. My brother had bought it in a shop in shiraz because the cover story was on the Shah in Turmoil something like that but what caught my attention was a photo of her in a red swimming suit and the curve of her breasts sticking out. I think it was a time when you could hardly find playboy magazines anymore so seeing FF showing some skin was really ATASH PAREH ;0)
I can just say that after seeing that photo I couldn't care less about the Revolution or the Shah or Khomeiny ... ;0)
But she has really dissapeared since she posed naked in Playboy in 97 at age 50. Too bad

by bajenaghe naghi on Tue Sep 09, 2008 08:15 AM PDTi agree with you that jaclyn was the prettiest of the three ladies even though farrah was more famous and had more revealing posters. she was also more in the news because of her relationship with lee majors of the six million dollar man.
i wish i could see jaclyn in more roles but all three seem to have gone into retirement. farrah did try to make it back but i think producers are keeping away from her since she seems to be high and drugged a lot of the times which makes her a bad risk.
the story about your grandma was sweet.

by Darius Kadivar on Tue Sep 09, 2008 07:41 AM PDTGood to hear from you again. Yes Roger Moore was good in everything he did. I discovered the Saint in France when we arrived in the 80's but that is probably because we had just one channel in Shiraz unlike in Tehran. My gradma who was quite religious used to like the Show because Roger Moore would never kiss the damsel from a fortified tower so she considered him as a good muslim (LOL).
Thank God for Roger he caught up on girls in the Persuaders with his playboy pal Tony Curtis.
Its true that most heros in most series aimed at teenagers or kids like Zorro for instance never had a love interest. How things have changed since ...
I loved Jaclyn Smith of all the Charlies Angels. As a matter of fact she is the only one who continues making movies I think.

by bajenaghe naghi on Tue Sep 09, 2008 07:08 AM PDTi have always enjoyed old roger. loved him in the saint and loved him in james bond also loved him in pursuaders with old tony curtis. that one i think was the original version of the charlie's angels. except old roger and old tony were not as leggy and chesty and pretty as farrah, jaclyn and kate. i can not remember seeing ivanhoe. i would like to think it was before i was born but no such luck :-)
