Photos of Anthony Quinn's visit to Iran for his major motion picture to be shot in Iran entitled Caravans. Greeted by Iran's Empress Shahbanou Farah, He will be joined by Michael Sarrazin, Jennifer O'Neill, Joseph Cotten, Christopher Lee as well as Iranian Star Behrouz Vossoughi. Anthony Quinn was a native of Chihuahua, Mexico. Mexican Magazine (1977)

Based on a novel by James Michener the story is supposed to be set in Afghanistan but it was finally shot in Iran and Isfahan and fars province in particular.

I have never watched Caravans although I am a fan of Anthony Quinn. Now that I know it was shot in Iran, I must see it. (You can tell how homesick I am: Anything for a mere glimpse of my homeland.)
