Anyway,,, He was a remarkable man and a great politician with real nationalism values. He was by far the most intelligent minister of Shah's regime. Also, he's one of the best politician Iran ever had. God bless his soul.
To dear botshekan: bless your soul! :)

The problem with Hoveyda
by botshekan (not verified) on Thu Aug 21, 2008 05:31 PM PDTThe problem with Hoveyda brothers was that they were under the illsuion that they were both French politicians and diplomats in the same status as Pompidou, Chirac or Giscard. They had forgotten that they both served a dictatorship and their bones were formed under the tyranny of Qajars, to which they belonged, and the dictatorship of the Pahlavis to which they bowed. Their foolhrdy "yes-manship" cost the Shah his throne and the nation its tomorrows.
Very nostalgic.
by jamshid on Thu Aug 21, 2008 02:19 PM PDTVery nostalgic. Thanks.
God bless Hoveyda. Such a class act. Compare that to the embarassments that are in charge today.
