Dear Darius you are such a Gentleman
by anglophile on Wed Jul 22, 2009 12:32 PM PDTThank you for your very sincere answer. Like yourself, I am a monarchist (British style) but I am not going to kill myself if there is a secular republican system in place.
Your blogs are great fun to read and your video clips are amazing. You must have a super memory to remember what to show on which occasion. Awsome!
As we say here in England: Jolly Good Show!
Thank You Ali P Jaan and Ebi Jaan

Well I am just interested by memorabilia and history. I think it reflects an era and can hurt no one since it is not propaganda. If it were I would be posting some of the horrible junk you see on LA Tv's with Odes to the Emperor as some kind of Messaiah Like these people:

or her:

But I won't be hypocritical, I am a Constitutional Monarchist in that I wish to see a Ceremonial monarchy in Iran where the King or Queen Reigns but does not Rule like in Spain or Great Britain or any other European Monarchy. Am I opposed to a Secular Republic ? Absolutely Not but If I had the luxury ( which I don't) to choose between a Restoration of the Constitutional Monarchy and the establishement of a Republic, I would not hesitate a second. I would choose a Restoration.
I don't claim I am right nor that my choice should be imposed on the nation. I just claim that is what I prefer and if the people share that all the better. If they don't I would not hold it against anyone. I would feel frustrated but not revengeful.
But Unfortunately for me, I think that Iranians will choose a Republic if Ever the current Islamic Republic were to be replaced by a secular system of government.
Dommage ... Cause Spain which has a history of both Republican and Royal systems of government chose to be logical with its roots. If only we could do the same ... But that decision does not depend on my personal choice but that of the People if they were given the opportunity to choose freely.
VIVE LA DEMOCRATIE !
Thanks!

by anglophile on Tue Jul 21, 2009 05:08 PM PDTif i write entirely in lower case letters, would i receive an answer from you? (i wrote your name starting with a capital d as a mark of respect). i think, freedom fighter of iran is a lazy bum like me who does not want to press the shift button every time that he/she has to begin a new sentence or write a name. so he has chosen to use upppercase all the way and as you say it is like someone is shouting at you, but i chose lower case entirely which sounds like someone is whispering into your ears :)
which one you like better?
Why Do You Use CAPITAL LETTERS ? ;0)
by Darius Kadivar on Tue Jul 21, 2009 01:55 PM PDTTo express yourself on My Blog you don't need to Shout your Words at me.
Politeness would Request YOU to Present Yourself with a NAME and IDENTITY to say the least if you want to receive an answer to your question.
Otherwise I don't see what I can do for you ...
Best,
DK
HI THERE , IRANIANS DO NOT LIKE MONARCHY ANY MORE !
