by fozolie on Tue Feb 23, 2010 06:07 PM PSTTwo years earlier he simply refused to provide any leadership for resistance against the Akhoond regime. He failed to show he had or has what it takes to be a leader of the crisis we were/are facing. That is why in the eyes of many he is not credible. Just being the heir is not enough.

Checkmate..and a farewell song while I had gone for the day?...
by The Phantom Of The Opera on Tue Feb 23, 2010 04:39 PM PSTI don't think so. The Great Revolution of the Iranian people in '79 threw you and your kind out of the country, as it did your ideas and reverence for monarchy and dictatorship. Even the pain that I feel via the presence and control of the present-day mullahs, does not lessen the relief I feel over the fact that people like yourself no longer have a say or control in today's Iran. Moreover, I am confident that you and your kind will be excluded from the country's future as well.
The Pahlavis, all mullahs, and all public figures associated with the Green Movement must disclose the source and the amount of their wealth/income.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Tue Feb 23, 2010 11:09 AM PSTI don't think people where olagh in the genetic sense. I do think they were naive. The new generation has seen the effects of their choice. They don't like it. I don't blame them. Their parents betrayed them. Now they live in hell created by their parents.
I beleive the 60s generation were fooled. I know I was there and saw my own cousin buy into the nonsense. People would read the junk by Shariati and Al Ahmad and believe it. They were not the only people. The "mod" was to be either a Marxists; an Islamist or both! I remember reading my favorite science publication "Faza". It had a lot of articles about scientific knowledge in the Quaran. It had me convinced for a while.
The Pahlavis
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Tue Feb 23, 2010 08:13 AM PSTThe reality is that the Pahlavis specially Reza Shah did a lot for Iran. The Shah also did a lot for Iran. Were they dictators: yes. But that generation of Iran proved they needed a dictator. Specially the 60s generation. They whined about freedom. Then when they got freedom they picked Khomeini and the cultural revolution. I thank god I was lucky to be raised under the Shah and not Khomeini. I wish we had a dictator like Reza Shah or even Mohammad Reza Shah.
The way that generation treated him is shameful. Many people have seen the results. That generation indeed has more than its share of olagh and namak nashnash. Specially the intellectuals like Shariati; Al Ahmad and the like.
Past is past now. Iran needs a leader to unite it when IRR goes. Do you people really want Mousavi who kisses up to Khamenei or Reza Pahlavi who honors Iran and its ancient heritage.
The main problem is that RP has not shown strong leadership. He can
either be like his grandfather and do something. Or like Al Gore and
fade into nothingness. If he does not then someone else will sooner or later.
Personally I don't have a favorite. As long as they honor Iran and put Iran above all.
CheckMate ! ;0)

If you people have a grand plan of exclusivity for the nation, this is the time to spell it out. Your useless prince, however, tries to keep the message of inclusiveness as high as possible.
