If he wants to be a leader than he should go to Iran right now and put his life on the line, as Mousavi, Karoubi, Khatami, and millions of Iranians have been doing everyday. If he goes to Iran right now then I can consider him as my leader; If not he should just sit home and shut the .... up.

No to Reza Pahlavie

Reza Pahlavie has Qajar blood just like Maryam Rajavee(MKO) which disqualify him as a leader in a free Iran. We have enough from Qajars, our land suffered a lot from this mongolic tribe. It is obvious that he has nothing from his grand father Reza shah, the father of Modern Iran(Reza Shah was a great man). If the people in Iran choose to have Monarchy in Iran there would be a lot of Najeebzadeh Irany(true Iranians) that can be choosen as King of Iran. Payandeh Iran.

He is a good man but

He is not the Great Reza Shah that we need. He lacks the leadership skills, trade or what ever you want to call it. Furthermore he is under illusion like many other Iranians that you can come out of this by non violent martin luter king style kind of an action. When you are dealing with brainwahsed basiji and pasdar with 9th century mentality, non violence is simply not an option.

Wouldn't it be better, preferable, even rather a great thing if Reza Pahlavi or JUST ABOUT ANYONE BESIDE THE IRI stood up and ruled in the name of modern IRANIAN democracy?

Maybe some people would resent the privilege of this man or criticize his credentials. Maybe Iranians would constantly lampoon him, joke about his ability or lack thereof. Maybe there would be a chorus of idiots constantly making wisecracks about him.

THAT IS PRECISELY HOW we will know that Iran is really FREE, when it elects, appoints, or otherwise summons leaders who are dull, overfed men and women who are emminently laughable, who do their benighted best to rule in the name of the people . . .
WITHOUT KILLING THEM. WITHOUT TORTURING THEM. WITHOUT REPRESSING THEM.

Look at the "great democracies!" For the most part their leaders are as dull as dirt and not much more elevated.

BUT SOMEHOW IT WORKS!!

My point is that we ought to have more SOLIDARITY and less bickering, more tolerance and less sophmoric backbiting.

Everyone has to start start somewhere . . .
Would it be so bad to start over with a secular, national figure? Wouldn't it be an improvement over all those mullahs?

Reza Pahlavi is not the man who can save Iran, or do anything else for it for that matter.

But you dear, you are a first class hypocrite Your Obama campaign and your later backpedalling is the proof. How come you have the right to retract, but others don't?

You are also "kine-ee". A person like you is exactly what this movement does not need. You flame division and you lust for vengence. Your "I told you so" campaign in this site is the proof.

If Reza is a "moftkhor" by jumping on the bandwagon, then so are you. He has done his share of exposing this regime to the world, just as you have (SCE). I don't think you have done more than him. And I don't think he has done more than you. And I don't think either of you are "reformist" and pro-Mousavi. But both have jumped on the bandwagon.

We who live here are all "moftkhor-ing" from the blood of the fallen in Iran. I don't recall any of us throwing a single stone at Basij.

Additionally, your attacking others and settling scores with them in these critical times is a cheap spit at all those brave men and women in Iran who have managed to grow and go beyond your way of thinking. Perhaps you can learn a thing or two from them.

Or perhaps, if you go back and join the demonstrators only for one day, then you'll learn what I am trying to tell you.

Most importantly, answer this question:

Did you KNOW that by voting, extended demonstrations will take place? NO! You did not know. You did not invite people to vote because you knew this will happen. You were taken by surprise too, just as everyone else was.

Your reasons for voting were quite different. Your blogs are still there. It was those reasons that some people opposed. And those reasons you wrote about had NOTHING to do with the fraud that took place and with the divisions that have been brewed among mollahs in the past few years.

Darius, please don't attack David. We're all waiting to see what happens. In the mean time, fighting won't help. 

I'm also waiting to hear your piece on NIAC. These guys have been deeply invested with the Reformers, who were their contacts in Iran, and caused them to bet they could forge US-Iran ties.

But now, even the Reformers are dead. I can't wait to see what happens, but more importantly, what do you think will happen to this group now? Do they even have a purpose anymore? I don't think so. The entire game has changed.  

David why can't you stay on course for once?

You of all people should keep your peace and say nothing when RP is showing solidarity with his freedom seeking country men and women. You of all people because you are prepared to forget and forgive some one like Mir Hossein Moussavi, who was a pillar of this regime during some of darkest periods of its exitence and whose allegeance to Khmoneni and his cause is, to this moment, unchanged. But you show petty and unbefitting jealousy toward a man who has not committed any crime against the Iranians and is willing to use his influence, as little or as large as it may be,  to help bring down the regime. Is ths not what you want or are you still hooked on Moussavi?

What is the matter with you David? Why do you have to let your dark side get the better of you? If you can't stop being mean and miserable now when do you want to prove your claim to being an open-minded person?
