by Ali P. on Sat Nov 22, 2008 10:10 AM PSTThere are a few organized groups who want the current regime in Iran gone. They all exaggerate their chances, and popularíty, as they should. Anyone is free to support any group they want. My minimum criteria- and those of other semicompetent minds like me(!)- are the following:
1) You have to be secular.
2) You can't have blood on your hands.
3) The less cooperative with - or fooled by - Khomeini regime you have been, the better your chances are for you to get my vote and support.
4) I do not hold 'receiving aid from foreign powers' against you, as long as you have not sold yourself or your principles. Politics is a game and you have to use all measures necessary to reach your goal. Give and take. Just be careful not to become a puppet.
5) You have to believe in democracy ; not just in words, but in action.By all means, you may recommend any form of government you see fit for Iran, and you can cast your vote then, but do not tell me it has to be a 'consitutional monarchy', 'a democratic Islamic Republic', or a ' social democratic republic', and you would throw a tantrum if you don't get your way.
6) Being someone's son, or daughter, should not, and does not, bring you any glory, or shame. I judge you by YOUR conduct.

PLAGIARISM I
by amirkabear4u on Sat Nov 22, 2008 02:58 AM PSTThis is a lazy Sat morning so I decided to adopt a diffrent approach.
What a comedy this guy is
what good has this former Royal Prince done in the past 30 years that has made any difference whatsoever
The only thing that gives Reza any name is that he is the son of a man who Iranians in Millions rejected and toppled .
Your name will be mentione in history books as a selfless monarch ...... Don't you think that is a much higher honor than being a king?
BABY SHAH
The era of monarchy has come to an end
The other side of the coin...
by Reza Roshan (not verified) on Sat Nov 22, 2008 02:28 AM PST...is that, the same "millions of people who rejected the Shah", rejoiced Khomeini and embraced his Islamic Republic.
Today, many of us think, in 1979, we, as a nation, screwed up!
Now if you want to pick and choose, and tell us on which idea we were fools, that's your progative I guess.
Mr. Kadivar give up
by Anonymous iranian (not verified) on Sat Nov 22, 2008 12:37 AM PSTAny time ex empress or ex prince says something or goes to a place ,our own Pahlavi sympathizers Mr. Kadivar is here to promote their cause as if they ever return to Iran they would give him a position in their new government.Mr. Kadivar You are not doing this promotion out of goodness of you heart, are you?

BABY SHAH IS WASTING HIS TIME !
by Baba on Fri Nov 21, 2008 03:58 PM PSTHe is better off managing his restaurant in California (I think it is in Hollywood). If Iranians wanted that family, they would not have kicked his daddy out. The era of monarchy has come to an end, especially for a family that destrtoyed Iran's hopes and livelihood (remember CIA coup and overthrow of Dr.Mosadegh?). Monarchy may have made sense at the stone age eras, not any longer.
Thanks,
Baba

WOW! You read my mind my friend. I was writing an article exactly about the same subject. We are getting there and I hope he too would rise to the occasion. This is the best I have ever read anywhere as part of the solutions for Iran .
Stay tuned... !

by suggestion (not verified) on Fri Nov 21, 2008 02:51 PM PSTRP should fire all of his handlers. He needs to stop being a tool of his so-called loyalist including his mother. Reza jan, grow up and think for yourself. You're doing the same mistake as your father. Your handlers and your mom are using you for their own lofty ambitions and personal vendetta.
You father asked you to do what's best for Iran not for you or your mom or your handlers. You need to grow up and be a positive force for change. You don't need the head of the states or help of any tin tank. If you really want to honor your father and his legacy, you will relinquish all claims to power and try to unite all Iranians using your celeberty.
Your name will be mentione in history books as a selfless monarch who united his people against the most tyrannical regime of 21st century. Don't you think that is a much higher honor than being a king?

by David ET on Fri Nov 21, 2008 01:13 PM PSTAnyone who believes and joins the principals of unity is and can be part of it by choice and without exclusions.
Yet it does not and should not stop of us expressing views on other matters, and that is what is precious about the democracy that we seek, just as is common among those nations who are already practicing it.
Noone is better than others by blood relations, race, color, religion, gender...That is a decision by the Royalists to make and is their case reality check is a good thing just as political Islamists, MEK etc need their own..

by David ET on Fri Nov 21, 2008 09:55 AM PSTCan someone tell me what good this meeting will do for Iran and Iranians and what good has this former Royal Prince done in the past 30 years that has made any difference whatsoever and if not why waste so much time on him with articles from Reza dips in the pool to Reza goes to Bathroom!
The only thing that gives Reza any name is that he is the son of a man who Iranians in Millions rejected and toppled .
Reza NEVER established himself on his own and will never be considered anything serious until he agrees and accepts that Shah, Monarchy and Pahlavi's were rejected in Millions by majority of Iranians and only then when he starts from Zero then he may start building a base on his own if he wants to. But he is too happy with the cermonial prince title and his occasional intellectual blurbs and letters here and there .
Like I said before these Reza Shah Baazi ha will not get them anywhere.
OK now lets see another post with 100 comments on Reza, Shah , Pahlavi's etc to the point of vomit for 30 years.
respectfully: yawn
who cares about 1/4 Pahlavi?

by sickofiri (not verified) on Fri Nov 21, 2008 08:51 AM PSTReza is a moron. He is doing all the wrong things.. Why can't he use his brains?
and that is too much shahi
by Alborzi (not verified) on Fri Nov 21, 2008 07:57 AM PSTA major problem during shah's regime, was that he was a puppet of the foreign forces. From Mosadegh and his father being exiled to South Africa to Americans and their advisors .... . The Iranian people have real issues, but just as the Mojahedin's are tools of foreighn countries, Reza is showing his true colors. His legitimacy comes from meeting with the British, maybe they can do something like when Mosadegh was in power. Or better yet, "Aragheto bekhor, cafa ra sholough nakon",
"Bezar basheh"
So I wonder about that pic of Reza - what books are those?
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Fri Nov 21, 2008 07:26 AM PSTHe doesn't strike me as a reader, or a writer judging by his past books/manuals. Possible titles: My pet goat, The Pelican Brief, Ian Fleming titles.... lol
