France is mourning the death of Raymond Aubrac - one of the country's last great resistance heroes.
His exploits - together with those of his wife Lucie - became the stuff of legend. He was 97.

PS: to the IRI stooge, the "Sargerd"
by Shazde Asdola Mirza on Sat Aug 28, 2010 12:06 PM PDTThe man is dead (killed by Islamist terrorists) and his memory is concealed by your IRI masters, but his Ideals for a Democractic and Inclusive Iran, lives on forever!
Those ideals are now alive, more than ever before, in the hearts and minds of millions of young and hopeful Iranians.
May hell be welcoming the IRI demons and their supporters soon!
Good post - Bakhtiar deserves respect and remembrance

Thanks DK
by MRX1 on Fri Aug 27, 2010 06:48 PM PDTBakhtiar was a true gem and a true patriot.I think his sprit will always be in our heart. one always wonders how things might have turned out if he came to power six months earlier.
p.s just ignore what this sargord tookhali has to say. He was born an idiot, lives an lidiot now and he will die as an idiot.
The best way to remember Mr Bakhtiar....

by Azarin Sadegh on Fri Aug 27, 2010 02:18 AM PDTWell it is true that I am really old and (sigh sigh) over 40, but thank god these days people, and especially women, live up to 90, even 100 years old, so hopefully I can keep talking about Bakhtiar for a very long time...:-))
But kidding aside, I know some young pro-Bakhtiar, way under 40! Maybe you aren't aware but some poeple still read books or watch documentaries about history. Some of my young cousins have been influenced by a parent. I also know a young man who lost his dad (a military man and pro-bakhtiar) when he was just a toddler) but the rest of pro-Bakhtiar crowd just hate IRI so much that they've made up a paradise in their mind out of a few photo album, some newspaper excerpts dated from the times before revolution...and through a few of Bakhtiar's speeches, especially the one predicting how bad Khomeini would be for Iran.
Actually, most of this young crowd still live in Iran. But sometimes I find them a bit extreme...They talk about hanging all the Mullah and all the Basijis and anything pro-religion or pro-IRI ...But I think it is their youth which makes them so black and white ...Of course, I don't feel that I have the right to say anything, considering the fact that I live here and they live there and they witness and live the horros of IRI every day.
Anyway, I am all for peace and I truly hope there would be no blood shed to get rid of IRI.
