Cashing in on Islam

If the Islamic revolution turned the lives of millions upside down, it had the reverse effect for an equally large number Iranians. Shirin Neshat is indeed one of those whose career took a boost thanks to the West's renewed interest in Islam and its starved appetite to gulp down anything which has the slightest scent of Islamic culture, never mind how fabricated it may be.

 

Ms Neshat is a winner of the Euro-American maddening rush to fullfil their politically correct quota. As they say in Iran:
