DK, welcome back and where are the great movies for fall season?

Dear DK.  First welcome back.  Secondly, I have a cinema related question and you are the best person to answer it.  I thought fall season is supposed t be when US movie theatres show the best movies in anticipation of awards season.  However, it seems that there are not that many great movies out there.  Do you know of any movie that is already out there or will soon be that you recommend?  I am really tired of hearing about vampire movie and its huge opening.

Now speaking of 'intellectuals', do we have any really? Danny Kaye is making fun of the real ones. We don't have the real ones to make fun of.

We have poets, artists and dreamers. This we always had. And we had ideologists who confused poetry, artistry and dreams (often of poor quality) with intellectual thoughts. But we don't have intellectuals. What we call intellectual is people who can read and write, and occasionally use it. But do we really have any intellectual? This Darius, gives you another opportunity to waste another life of your seven lives on the subject!
