Writing Young Love: "I Never Told You How Much I Loved You ..."

For the Writing Young Love series, I chose to express it through a series of clips from French movies Starring Romy Schneider Whose Eyes, Face and beautiful features remind me of someone in another life. One is Claude Sautet's Les Choses de La Vie  (1970's) co-starring Michel Piccoli the other Andrzej Zulawski's L'important c'est d'aimer (1975) co-starring Fabio Testi and lastly La Piscine with Alain Delon. Don't Ask me Why ? I don't have the Answer myself ... ;0)

Maybe Because when it comes to expressing my Love to someone, WORDS NEVER COME EASY TO ME ! ...

F.R. DAVID - Words Don't Come Easy -

Or Maybe the themes in these movies remind me of my Own Parents Love for Eachother. Why Mention my parents when it's supposed to be about "young love" and normally a personal testimony ? I suppose because like all children at least those who like me were lucky to have parents who loved them, I more or less tried to reproduce and transmit that feeling to my first partner except that I was Just too clumsy and inexperienced to convey it in my relationship at the time ...

Maybe in our insatiable life long quest for Love and understanding we make the mistake of trying to reproduce an idealized vision when we encounter that first love and by doing so we simply miss the point of it all: To accept the other for who she really is ...

Or was it simply My need to escape and run away from Reality, to take Responsability for my actions or was it that my Love for Movies and idealized fictional characters on the silver screen was stronger and deeper than anything I experienced or could experience in Real Life ? ...

Words Never Came Easy to Me and I guess I will never know exactly why I never told you that I LOVED YOU ...

Ceci est Pour Toi Valérie et à Notre Amour de Jeunesse ...

This Blog is in Tribute to You Valérie, To The Joy You gave me, To Your Beautiful Blue Eyes, To The Short Time we Spent Together, and the Enduring Memory you left in me like an open and unhealed scar ...

I'm Sorry ...

Hi! Darius,

I am not sure if you are really vague. The still photos for your blog and the videos are pretty graphic to me, they are open for interpretation. O:))

Thanks for sharing your story with us, you are very brave!

for a person who believes words do not come easily, I must say that the words you did use were very sweet and sincere. A very lovely blog indeed.

Hi Darius,

Thank you for your hard work. It takes a lot of courage to write a story like this. You wrote:

************************************

Maybe Because when it comes to expressing my Love to someone, WORDS NEVER COME EASY TO ME ! ...

************************************

For me, the videos are even harder to understand 'cause you have so many videos, you are a You-tube expert!

This is my favorite line from your story:

***********************************

To accept the other for who she really is ...

***********************************

I agree with you 100%!! Thank you for your very unique love story!

thanks,
