Beware of the possibility of the policy shift to save Khamenei, Velayat faghih and Islamic Republic by dumping Ahmadinejad. In fact he many not make it through the month of August.
Pro Ahmadinejad sites as well as Islamic Republic's Television have already started the "dump the AN" process.
Iranians should be wary of the behind the scene "save the face" manuevers that are in the works.
Ahamdinejad is the product of the system of the Islamic Republic and its supreme leadership. Ayatollah Khamenei is directly responsible for all the human rights violations and deaths that were caused after his speech and ultimatums during the Friday Prayer in June.
All others responsible should also be brought to justice.
ALL must go, no less!

They Are Cutting Deals with Rafsanjani:140 prisoners released

First They Forbid the opposition to make Rallies commemorating the death of the protestors in exchange for liberating the prisoners still alive ...

2) About 140 Iranian prisoners detained during protests against last month's disputed election are to be released, officials say.

This is Old School Politics ...
The possibility is there, but...
by Ostaad on Tue Jul 28, 2009 07:50 AM PDTnot in the form of ousting Ahmadinejad. In my humble opinion, the stage is set for Khamenei to throw Ahmadinejad under the proverbial truck by restricting him to "running" the country, and muzzeling him when it comes to interfering or having anything to do with macro policy issues particularly in the areas of foreign affairs and nuclear negotiations.
Ahamdinejad has become a perfect target for people's outrage and discontent, thus a useful diversionary tool for keeping Khamenie above the fray and away from direct criticism.
I believe the real forces of "nezaam" are Khamenie and Iran's nascent military-industrial complex, whose role in shaping the Iranian politics has not been scrutinized enough yet. Billions of dollars of industrial and business activities are under the control of the Sepah and we all know he who controls the purse, controls everything.
I urge everyone to keep a close eye on Iran's military-industrial complex and its role in shaping Iranian politics.

One year from now or sooner, AN will not be president of Iranby Anahid Hojjati on Tue Jun 16, 2009 03:44 PM PDT
I am willing to bet against anyone who wants that one year from now or sooner, you will not see the word president next to Ahmadinejad's name. As a matter of fact, I made this comment about 3 weeks ago but then deleted it. This time, I will not delete.
