Iran is the only country in the world that 'officially' executes children. According to the United Nations, a child is a person under the age of 18. Despite the fact that Iran has signed International Covenants that forbid them to execute anyone who has allegedly committed an offence before the age of 18, they continue to do so. Since 1990, Amnesty International has recorded 30 executions of child offenders and over the last couple of years the rate is increasing. Currently, there are more than 100 minors on death row in Iran. Time is of the essence:

Its a disgrace
by javaneh29 on Thu Jun 05, 2008 01:02 PM PDTI have been following the fate of these children for some time. There are some things we can do. Its not much but at least we can create awareness from the comfort of our pc's. These children have no voice inside Iran and so we must try to be a voice for them. What ever they have done, they are entitled to justice and a fair trial.
There are many links and I post a few here.
Here you can find up to date info and it also details how to contact Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei to appeal to his better nature, if he has one. You can also sign a petition and there are links to other sites.

There are many. I hope readers will do something other than just make comments about how sad it is. Shame on you if you dont.

heartbreaking
by IRANdokht on Thu Jun 05, 2008 10:47 AM PDTIt's absolutely heartbreaking to know what's going on and not be able to do anything about it, watching these criminals issue death sentences and carry them on for 30 years now, just sickens me.
Thanks Nazanin and David for bringing awareness to Iranians and the whole world.
