It's not Norooz for me but I've no problem with Norooz. Not that I celebrate it but I do think the end of winter is the appropiate time for the end of the year.
But I have a problem with NoRooz 1390..The year I will never accept as it is the year since Muhammad. There is absolutely no reason to celebrate nearly 1400 years of the Terror inflicted on this planet by the False Prophet and his Misleading Religion.
I wonder just how many who have such problem with War can celebrate 1400 years of it? I find it to be just another Oddity..Maybe you just go along with the year since it's hard to swim upstream and you're more of a Bluegill than a Salman.I too am the same way embedded in western culture and this is why I do not celebrate Norooz,Nears Years for me is Jan 1st so if I were to celebrate it would be more like celebrating someone else's Birthday party than my own.
I could make believe that it is still NoRooz just a couple months behind and have a good time,it's ok.But when I hear it's NoRooz 1390 it takes the fizz out of my 7-up.Norooz is ancient,it's far beyond Norooz 1390.I am begining to recognize the importance of that. The New Year is from the Roman Empire which we Roman Dogs don't give much thought to.And we don't give much thought to the Year 2011 being the year After the Death of Jesus Christ. So I have to ask, someone or anyone,at least write it down,Why Not?
Look at the difference between 2011 years after Jesus Christ and the 1390 years of Muhammad. Is that really the same to you? Yesterday I encountered some Nuns.My first thought was how many Muslims in Chador I have seen compared to Nuns and the difference in Revolting implications they imply on my natural instinct.I cringed at first because I thought they were Muslims. Then I saw a little strip of White on the Nuns 'uniforms' and some Crosses.I immediately felt a assurance of warmth.I felt guilt and wondered if I am too harsh on the Religious Muslims.I really do believe many have good intention and are just kind, nice well mannered older ladies like these Nuns are.To a Muslim they probably get the same warm feeling when they see a woman in Chador.
But In the West we reserve the 'Holy' Uniform for those that have decided to dedicate their lives.Since their is freedom people usually will only decide to wear it if they are truly dedicated. There isn't a forced incentive to wear it and it keeps the Uniform true.In Islam the uniform is associated with suicide bombing and terror. When people write Quran verses on their swords and chop off heads in the name of Islam, the followers of Islam deserve the association. They do not stand up against it because it is belief of their Religion. They only offer apology and comparission.Well there is no apology or comparission I accept or do not find offensive.Because it makes no sense to do so.
It not only makes no sense or gain with these false comparisions and apologys for me to accept them, neither does it you.In fact it's what holding you back.Secularism will not be attained when you submit to a Non-Secular tolerant Religion.Look to the reality that is Iran.If some Homosexual Child Molesting Priests or Witch Burnings in the 1800's compare to what's going in Iran and across the Middle East than forget making any difference. How can you?You cannot even address the problem how do you expect to remove it? The people of Iran are 90% Islamic.Even a Violent overthrow of the Regime will not work if the people do not change their belief.Regime change comes through belief Change.Any belief Religious or Secular that is tolerant is what is called for.

Yes 2570 is much better than 1390
by Escape on Wed Mar 23, 2011 03:14 PM PDTBut from the recent developments,I'm sorry to say 1390 is inbred into Iranian's so deeply I don't know where the hope lies now to break Iran away from Islam. The grip is so transparent. It's frustrating to see people who would like to break away from Islam are so culturally ingrained into it's belief system.
ITS NowRuz of 2570 NOT 1390

It is True that Iranian clander is Islamic(1390) but it must change in future FREE IRAN to Iranian Calender with 2570. NowRuZ is an ancient IRANIAN Celebration, been celebrating by IRANIANS since inception of Zorasterianism and has nothing to do with ARAB ISLAM.
