The Israeli Prime Minister is losing it in his latest trip to America. He is yelling as loud as he can, identifying Iran as the nuclear duck, itching to go to strike Iran and drawing a line in the sand with Obama that Israel will be master of its fate.
So now the whole world knows that America does not want to start a war, or a pre-emptive strike, at this time but Israel wants it. So when Israel strikes Iran should America rush to defend Israel or is it Israel's job to finish what they started on their own?
If the Israeli Prime Minister had any balls and meant what he has been saying for the last few years he'd have struck Iran by now. Israel wants to start a war by striking Iran but wants America to continue it and be the one defending Israel during any Iranian retaliation. That's has always been the crux of the argument but now with each disagreement it is becoming more clear to the American people and the world that Israel cannot finish what they start.
So Netanyahu's argument that Israel should be allowed to defend itself is bull crap! No one is stopping Israel to carry on with its threat.
On the other hand in response to the Israeli rhetoric the Islamic Republic leaders keep saying if Israel strikes in retaliation they'll strike American interests in the region! WTF?! If they say they will retaliate in kind and focus on Israel then the burden of living under Iranian missiles will have more meaning to Israeli people than being non-chalant that America will defend them no matter what. America will be hard pressed to strike Iran if other American interests are not under fire.
The argument should be that Israel should be allowed to defend itself on its own. Otherwise Israel is a coward nation who is just pretending to be strong and instead just crying to his mommy!

Faramarz jaan he's talking about Iran as if he's havin bakhlava!
by Esfand Aashena on Tue Mar 06, 2012 05:38 PM PSTHe keeps saying he can't hold it any longer and if he does he'll have to pee in his pants! Or that at some imaginary threshold point, he'll strike Iran and talks about it as if he's having bakhlava with aromatic Twinings hot tea!
Did anyone say anything like that when Israel hit the Iraqi or Syrian nuclear buildings? We didn't even know Syria was building a plant and its roof was open to rain and later for a reactor to be pulled in at some point! So they struck a mud building without warning and right in their backyard (northern Golan Heights) and they want to use that as their experience for pre-emptive strikes against multiple functioning nuclear buildings in Iran. Not to mention heavily fortified.
And if I call the Israeli PM on his hollow threats when they don't even mention any possibility of an Iranian retaliation, none-what-so-ever, no missiles not even a stone, people lose their objectivity and question me for having the gull who has dared to say something!
This past couple of days have been so funny. Netanyahu has come to Washington (ala Mike Tyson's in the 80s ;-) and he knocks out Iran by quacking and then gets a pad in the back both in the Whitehouse and Congress and is happy for his "quick victory"!
While this freak show is going on, Security Council agrees (note agrees) to talk to Iran again and rescind their demand (note rescind) about Iran having stop enrichment before any further talks can be held.

by Faramarz on Tue Mar 06, 2012 01:21 PM PSTEsfand Jaan,
This is not too hard to figure out!
Netanyahu is doing 2 things.
First of all, by putting all the attention on the Regime and the nuclear issue, he is diverting the attention from the Peace Process and the continued construction in the occupied territories.
Secondly, and more importantly, he is trying to put Obama on the spot and move the "Red Line" by forcing Obama to spell out publically what he would do at what point, so that he could come out and say that, "it is not acceptable", and move the "Red Line" again.
Obama is smart enough not to get into a public discourse with Netanyahu and continue to pursue his own policy of weakening the Regime through strong sanctions which will limit the damage that the Regime could do to the Region and the oil flow, and then hope for an uprising and a Regime change by the Iranians.
No "loosing" the objectivity, just calling the bluff.

Israel doesnt have balls?
by Fesenjoon2 on Tue Mar 06, 2012 10:54 AM PSTwell thats easy to fix!
Just blow up some more underwear bombs in front of Israeli embassies in Thailand and Borkino faso, and you'll provoke them to the threshold point.
So we agree Israel wants 2 start a war but doesnt have the balls

of course Israel wants to start a war!
by Fesenjoon2 on Tue Mar 06, 2012 10:39 AM PSTBecause Iran wants to destroy it!

If somebody wants to kill you because youre a jew, what do you do? Hold talks with him?
No one ever takes him up on his threat.
by Esfand Aashena on Tue Mar 06, 2012 09:38 AM PSTEveryone from John Bolton to Rick Santorum always say that if US doesn't attack Israel will! Not clear who they're "threatening", US or Iran?!
Of course I along with many others don't want a war and rather serve Netanyahu watermelon and chocolate so he doesn't strike Iran but when does the Israeli threat end and action start?
Stupid Islamic Republic leaders match stupid threat with stupid threat such as Iran will do pre-emptive strike "too"! The word "pre-emptive" has lost its meaning on both sides!
So we're left with louder and louder quacks leading up to today's Nuclear Quack!
Everything is sacred
Some very good and valid points raised here...
by Bavafa on Tue Mar 06, 2012 09:07 AM PSTThough, I feel, the main goal is ought to prevent any war of aggression by Israel or Iran for that matter. Although it is of extreme unlikelihood that Iran (IRI) will start any war, since that would be a certain death for IRI and they will never risk that.
It is also very reasonable to believe that should Israel starts the war, America will rush to its aid and support no matter how criminal their action has been. This has been proven in the past so it is not an speculation.
Thanks for the good blog

What is strength?
by Abarmard on Tue Mar 06, 2012 09:02 AM PSTFree military equipment, training, support?
Free money, fake economy, and artificially funded technology?
Welfare recipient statehood, small country with largest cost that is running its daddy (US) bankrupted?
What is strength? Borrowed military equipment to use against shoeless rebels?
Israel is nothing. If Israeli government cared for its people and wanted to act mature and independent, they would start a program to have peace and economic prosperity based on their own capabilities and size. This current regime has gotten used in getting free money and obviously doesn’t want to work for it.
Just as a war makes Iranian conservative stronger it will do the same to Israeli regime and makes the population accept these vulture party for another decade.
