//www.farsnews.com/newstext.php?nn=8705120154

//www.jahannews.com/fa/pages/?cid=30924

//www.shia-online.ir/article.asp?id=2244&cat=1

Dear Live from Tehran...

I fully understand the gut reaction to what you have to put up with inside Iran...

But Look at the history of Iran's glorious past and see what inspired and gave it such radical direction in relation to its contemporaries. Surely it was the Religion of Zoroaster, (Zartosht) that inspired Darius and Cyrus and the people of ancient Iran . Surely it was the spiritual wisdom of Religion that brought together so many nations in friendship , as depicted on the walls of Persepolis...

As humans we are all desperately in need of Spiritual sustenance; one that gives wisdom to our actions and balances our animalistic nature. Iranian youth have every right to turn away from the corruption and hypocrisy of IRI corruption of the spirit of Islam... True religion SHOULD sustain, unite and guide humans to the right path, not be the cause of hatred and wars.

To Quote from a recent post in Huffington post about Religion..

“The path of unity and reconciliation is the only path available to the human family. A world in which all nations, races, creeds and classes are closely and permanently united is not a utopian vision but an inevitable and vital necessity. "Illumine and hallow your hearts; let them not be profaned by the thorns of hate or the thistles of malice," Bahá'u'lláh warns. "Ye dwell in one world, and have been created through the operation of one Will. Blessed is he who mingleth with all men in a spirit of utmost kindliness and love."

Fostering unity of purpose among individuals and groups, both within and outside the Bahá"í community, is an essential characteristic of all Bahá"í activity. It is a unity that embraces diversity and eschews uniformity. More than creating a culture of tolerance or passive coexistence, the notion of unity in diversity entails vanquishing corrosive divisions along lines of race, creed, class, gender and color, and erecting a dynamic and cooperative social ethos that reflects the oneness of human nature.

The Mullahs' version of Islam is the opposite.

The Mullahs in the Islamic republic  have  created the  opposite; a culture of intolerance with corrosive divisions according to what suits their self interest, as protectors of once pure, potent  and relevant spiritual force, which has today become nothing but a a tool to cause  hatred, greed, power, war and corruption.

The Prophetic warning to the Godless Mullahs ,by Baha'u'lah in 1880s i s relevant to your point about loss of interest in Islam by iranians.

 O people of the Qur’án,” Bahá’u’lláh, addressing the combined forces of Sunní and Shí’ih Islám, significantly affirms, “Verily, the Prophet of God, Muhammad, sheddeth tears at the sight of your cruelty. Ye have assuredly followed your evil and corrupt desires, and turned away your face from the light of guidance.

Erelong will ye witness the result of your deeds; for the Lord, My God, lieth in wait and is watchful of your behavior… O concourse of Muslim divines! By your deeds the exalted station of the people hath been abased, the standard of Islám hath been reversed, and its mighty throne hath fallen.”

Perhaps we have begun to see their downfall as you have stated

correctly in your post:

....." We have to be appreciative of what this regime has done for us regarding the religion in the last 30 yrs..One thing is that they are slowly and gradually eliminating Islam from our society without even knowing it."

Inside Iran

by live From Tehran (not verified) on

As an iranian who resides inside iran ( i found my way how to hack and get access to the certain blogs and website that is blocked in iran) i have to report to YOU abroad HAMVATAN.,,do not worry about Mrs: shirinebadi look to what on the horizon. We have to be appreciative of what this regime has done for us regarding the religion in the last 30 yrs..One thing is that they are slowly and gradually eliminating Islam from our society without even knowing it. Perhaps 70% of the youth in Iran don't believe in islam and Shiites as a religion'..They strongly believing in humanity not religion,,they are exploring the possibilities to change their religion but the fear of prosecution is their main hurdle for their decision..i believe that religion will be wiped out one day or at-least the next generation which is your children will enjoy the freedom of a society where majority and minority will live peacefully together,,
GOD BLESS IRAN AND PERSIANS ALL OVER THE WORLD..

For Iranians Bahai or Zorasterian!

by Maryam Hojjat on

Iranians who want to follow a faith or religion have two good choices: Bahaiat & Zorasterianism.  They both are very humane religions which emerged from our country IRAN and are based on IRANIANs' culture and needs.  I hope you think about this humble opinion more seriously.
