When does moderation become censorship? It is not easy. The early Usenet was set up with the Utopian naviety that rational people would observe netiquette and avoid inflamatory posts. It failed for social and cultural groups.
It's been interesting to follow, on and off, the development of this site. Frankly the Iranian diaspora like the society it came from, has never shown a sense of community so for me the site has been unique. I am frankly surprised that it has flourished and that the editor/publisher has carried on. The new blogging format came about as a result of the lack of support, resources and time. Now the comments are causing a similar headache as the letters section.
