Nudist colony
by Marjaneh on Sat May 22, 2010 05:36 PM PDTMaybe Iran, since some people insist on opressing others with their "virtue", and is a land of so many extremes and intolerance, it should be divided up properly from province to province.
Then, the Qomies can have their type of black tent wearers and another province, preferably near a fun beach can be turned into a nudist colony.

Islamist vs normal
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Fri May 21, 2010 01:47 PM PDTIslamists wolrd view is based on intolerance. They demand submission or will attempt to destroy. Islamists do not understand coexistance. They we are like them and that is why they fear us so much.
We do not plan to destroy anything. We do plan to oppose intolerance. We do oppose their "right" to stone women; force them into hijab; rape boys or girls; force people into your religion; persecute other people.

chador is a choice
by Anonymous8 on Fri May 21, 2010 12:02 PM PDTis clear in video, the women in chador who show their face and face is not blurred could cover much less if they want to, but they don't. those ladies are very assertive and articulate. where is the problem with this?
so it's choice!
agreed this will always be the choice of some women in future iran.
"seperation" of religion and politics is a european importation. just like nationalism and socialism. it has never been so in iran. even in europe is not practical. in america its not even possible.

Only a few who have been totally devastated by the rule of VF are talking about leveling Ghom.
The basic beliefs of secularism are:
* separation of religion and politics, NOT destruction of religion, but respecting ALL religions.
* Full implementation of the charter of human rights
* freedoms (speech, beliefs,....)
* equality (gender, race, beliefs.....)
* etc.
Very similar opinions are expressed by religious leaders such as Ayatollah Boroujerdi who is currently in prison, being tortured, for expressing those beliefs. See, e.g., //bameazadi16.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2008-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-08%3A00&updated-max=2009-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-08%3A00&max-results=11
KR, refrain from calling everyone your brother and sister
by oktaby on Fri May 21, 2010 11:25 AM PDTFrom what we have seen, that does not provide any protection from rape and murder by all your islamist and basiji brothers and sisters.
Secularism is governing a society by power of reason, consensus and checks & balances, not mumbo jumbo of any sort, religious or non.
There is no need to destroy any buildings or force anyone to do anything. That question arises from your islamic training and highly constrained world view that has violence and hatred as its core value & methodology.
Your questions have been answered many many times before asI just did here. Now, can you show some mental fortitude and decency and respond to those posed to you. Start with the one you conveniently skipped: are you Iranian first or moslem? And do you even know the difference?

Veil
by Cost-of-Progress on Fri May 21, 2010 11:13 AM PDTis the instrument that Islam has used to enslave women. Why don't men have to wear a veil? would the bulge in their crutch not arouse a woman standing in the corner? The veil has nothing to do with being modest or wanting to be pure. In fact, I remember that most of the hookers in pre-Islamic regime wore the veil!!
The islamists, those who are brain-washed by upbringing and those
converted" due to the times we're in for economic reasons need to take note:
Islam is opressive in every way, shape and form. This is just one form.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Fri May 21, 2010 10:42 AM PDT1) We are going to teach you Persian so people can understand what you say.
2) If someone wants to wear a tent that is their business. However no one is going to force it on normal human beings. Furthermore if you want to go around you better not cover your face for security reasons if nothing else. I don't want terrorists like cowards of "Fadayan" dressing in chador to run away. Remember the murder of Razm Ara dressed up as a woman in a chador to run away? No more of that. You want to go around; expose your face.

by خلفای راشدین on Fri May 21, 2010 10:38 AM PDTThank you my cycling brother. May God recycle your soul too.
