At long last the beacon of freedom which the huddled masses of the world yearning to breathe free look up to has begun to do right with the oppressed people of Iran.
For their “human rights abuses”, in a joint press conference Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner announced the new set of sanctions being levied against eight officials of the Islamist Rapist Republic.
Secretary Clinton said:
"On these officials' watch or under their command Iranian citizens have been arbitrarily, beaten, tortured, raped, blackmailed and killed, yet the Iranian government has ignored repeated calls from the international community to end these abuses, to hold to account those responsible, and respect the rights and fundamental freedoms of its citizens.
Today we declare our solidarity with their victims and with all Iranians who wish for a government that respects their human rights and their dignity and their freedom,"
This is a game changing, precedence setting step. Democracy Central, DC, is doing the right thing and when the right thing is done, sooner or later the right outcome will follow.
To hasten their overthrow, airtight the sanctions and begin material support to the victims of the Iranian murdering, nuke acquiring, messianic Islamists bent on “managing the world”.

airtight sanctions, airtight sanctinos, airtight sanctions
by MOOSIRvaPIAZ on Thu Sep 30, 2010 05:52 AM PDTwhat more proof do you want closet war advocate Fred? As any sane expert would tell you, airtight sanctions is a prelude to war.
Sanctioning the regime elements, as Obama has just done is the right way to go. I hope there are many more where that came from. Not "airtight" sanctions, closet war advocate Fred. Only those who dont give a damn about Iranian suffering propose such a ridiculous policy.
Well done, except

Tell it to millions of Iraqi war refugees stuck in Syria and Jordan.
Or the millions of Palestinians, victims of war crimes and an illegal siege.
Mid-30's C today in Tel Aviv. You folks over at "Fred" running the air conditioner today? Of course you are.
