Obama's embarrassing Iran fact

Last night in what was billed by his campaign as a major foreign policy speech, in regards to Iran, the Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney in part said:

“Iran today has never been closer to a nuclear weapons capability. It has never posed a greater danger to our friends, our allies and to us. And it has never acted less deterred by America, as was made clear last year, when Iranian agents plotted to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in our nation’s capital. And yet when millions of Iranians took to the streets in June of 2009; when they demanded freedom from a cruel regime that threatens the world; when they cried out, are you with us or are you with them, the American president was silent.,"

The news network CNN has done a “fact check” on Romney’s assertion that Obama was “silent” and according to its findings he was not.

CNN's fact-check does not mention the unsolicited personal letter(s) President Obama had sent to the absolute leader Khamenei -during the same time period- asking for his hand of friendship. Obama’s tepid response to the events in question can only be explained away by not wanting to spoil the prospect of his friendship offer which has yet to materialize.

U.S. has not had an Iran policy for a long, long time. Neither Obama nor Romney have an Iran policy. They both have a set of similar responses to actions taken by the warmongering, nuke acquiring, Iranians and Americans murdering, Middle East peace-spoiling Islamists. Fact-check that, CNN!

IRI spreading anti-semitism throughot the world

Iran's Press TV: Broadcasting Anti-Semitism To The English Speaking World Introduction

Press TV, Iran's government-run English language satellite news network, has emerged as the Iranian government's primary propaganda tool to promote a wide range of pernicious anti-Semitic conspiracy theories in English to a worldwide audience. Operated by Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), a significant amount of Press TV programing provides a platform for American anti-Semites, conspiracy theorists and Holocaust deniers, who help amplify the Iranian regime's hateful messages. The station not only misleadingly presents these hatemongers as serious and credible "experts" or "analysts" on international economic and political issues, but also enables their bigoted perspectives to reach a significant new audience. Launched in 2007 and based in Tehran, the station is broadcast in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and parts of Africa and Latin America via a number of satellite television providers.

In addition to promoting classic anti-Semitic myths of global Jewish domination, Press TV presents a pervasively negative perspective on Western society, emphasizing what it views as the West's imperialism, faltering economies, lack of justice, political corruption and racial and class divisions.

Maybe factcheckers should take note.

Fact-check?

by Demo on

1. "Iranian agents plotted to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in our nation’s capital." Any follow up on that?

2.  "The unsolicited personal letter(s) President Obama had sent to the absolute leader Khamenei" Both personal & unsolicited @ the same time? Absolute leader?

3. Any fact check with Shahram Amiri's case?

4. Whatever happened to the captured drone by the 'absolute leader?'

Better stop here before these 'facts' checks become too 'fat' for either 'Hosein Mazloom Obama' or 'Meat Cutter Romana' to handle!
