The National Iranian American Council (NIAC), has presented a brief Amicus Curiae, "friend of the court", to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District Illinois Eastern Division in a lawsuit that seeks to seize and auction off thousands of historic Persian artifacts for payment to the victims of a terrorist attack in Israel.

These priceless objects, known as Persepolis Tablets, were found in Takht-e-Jamshid and are currently on display at the University of Chicago. Nearly 8,000 of these tablets are still on loan for archeological study at the University of Chicago.

Please sign this petition
and ask President Obama to prevent that these objects are auctioned:

Cultural heritage of a nation should not be subject to collection for the satisfaction of judgment against a government!
