by KouroshS on Fri Oct 09, 2009 01:50 PM PDTNobody would want to bomb iran, if its leaders learn to keep their mouths closed and avoid spewing unwarranted charges. They have pushed the envelope on Israel and it's criminal activities, that it is not funny anymore.
That is something that keeps scaping your mind. You go beyond just giving your opinion at times and resort to making unjust and baseless accusations. I as well as you, DO have the right to favor a specailly designed millitary campaign to remove the IRI and their cohorts, without CAUSING ANY damages to the people and the death of 100's of thousands of them. You never bother to distinguish that and single that out in some comments.
It takes a lot of Chutzpah to call israel to be the ONLY country who favors violence in the region, when iran's role in creating chaos in the region is also well-documented. Now i hear you saying that you hate the IRI but why overlooking this simple fact??

by IRANdokht on Fri Oct 09, 2009 01:46 PM PDTWhy would you say that I don't care about other human sufferings and I am obsessed with only Palestine? What's with the graphic details by the way?Where in my previous comment did I mention Palestine?
I stated my opinion without naming any country, but you want to speak of specific ones.
Ok! Lets speak specific countries since that's what Louie Louie wants: I don't recall anyone else trying to bomb Iran. Do you?
Although I only said I am against the aggressor, you're asking me about the obsession I have with Palestine! Yes I would be against the aggressor. Apparently your bleeding heart goes out to all other victims but the ones who are from the Arab countries. That's very humanitarian of you isn't it?
Why is Israel sacred to you? Why can't I be against aggressors, only because you KNOW that it'd mean Israel? Why is it that I can't give my opinion on the only country that keeps threatening Iranains with bombs?
by the way: I am speaking against the bombing of the innocent people, not defending IRI.
Trying to shut everyone up when Israel is the only country in the middle east that's hostile enough to attack other countries, is so lame and transparent.

Sorry I had to fix the broken sentences. It sounded awkward because I am at work and writing in bits and pieces.

But I do want to give you this food for thought:
Joseph McCarthy was only "asking questions" too. Think about it!

by Louie Louie on Fri Oct 09, 2009 11:17 AM PDTI am not a warmonger. And I don't wish to see my beloved Iran get attacked. But if you are talking about aggression then you need to look at the other side too. Sorry, I can't be an apologist for sure.
While I'm at it; I really don't understand your obsession with the Palestinian, Israeli issue. You care about Human Rights?
Go to Congo and ask a woman who got the boiling hot plastic stick shoved into her vagina, living with destroyed womb and bladder untlil she dies. Go ask the kid whose arm got cut off because her dad refused to work in the diamond mine. Child soldiers in Angola kept in a huge barn like they were cattle of cows. Yes thousands and thousands of human rights violation happening in Africa everyday. Where is you outrage?
Just posting two articles about Sri Lanka, doesn't cut it.

What a question....
by Cost-of-Progress on Fri Oct 09, 2009 10:35 AM PDTDesigned to stir shit up. I am not even Jewish, but this is a typical Islamist question.....You should ask your monkey-faced president to stop his threats and and try to get along with other nations instead of provoking them. If you really care, fix the broken economic system in Iran first before crying for the Pals. Things like the fact that the 4th largest producer of oil in the world has to import gasoline from outside, like billions of dollars of country's wealth being driven out on trucks and you worry about stupid questions like this.

Holly,
by Bijan A M on Fri Oct 09, 2009 10:24 AM PDTI just noticed your blog. Unfortunately I don’t have the opportunity to attend to my own blog as much as I’d like to, but I think your blog is specifically addressed to me. Therefore, I’ll respond as quickly as I can and have to leave. I’ll come back later if need be.
With all due respect, do you realize how silly your question is? You say “push come shove”, who is pushing? And, who is shoving? Of course I’ll support my homeland against any invader if she is attacked without provocation. At the very same time I’m ready to bear arm and destroy the ruling government (islamist or not) that enslaves and oppresses me as an Iranian.
I’ll catch you later…I Have to go

It's very hard to decide Go with a country that drops bombs or go with the country that chews on its own people's flesh?!
Is it really that hard to decide not to side with people who bomb innocent people? Their government is beating them, torturing them and killing them already. Is that not enough? Now we can't decide if we want to see them bombed too?
Would you please explain how this logic works and how is it better for them to be killed by the 100s of thousands all at once.
Thank you

The question was not out of racism or fascism
by Souri on Fri Oct 09, 2009 10:12 AM PDTOnlyiran,
I didn't see it as a fascist question!
You are going too far, accusing people of being racist or fascist just because they asked a question out of curiosity.
I said that same question was made to me in the past. So were my Jewish friends also fascist?
This is a natural question which comes to our mind....
And believe me, the diversity of answers might comes as a surprise to you, because it is very personal and based on each individual opinion. Nothing so general!
Don't be wishful to get one simple general answer
Again, it's very hard to decide

Fascism
by Onlyiran on Fri Oct 09, 2009 10:00 AM PDTI am stunned at this shameless display of fascism, anti-Semitism and McCarthyism. I am not Jewish, but as an Iranian, I am insulted that our fellow countrymen can be so openly be accused of being disloyal to their country just because of their faith. Here’s a better idea: why don’t you just come out and say that all Iranian Jews inside Iran should be interned until the “conflict” between Iran and Israel is resolved? Or better yet: why don’t we just deport all Iranian Jews (who, unlike you, Ms. “HollyUSA”, have chosen to stay in their country despite the fact that they are able to immigrate to Israel) to Israel and get it over with?
Is it also an appropriate question to ask Iranian Muslims if there is a war between Iran and Saudi Arabia which side they are going to take? Or Iranian Armenians if there is a war between Iran and Armenia which side they are going to support? Or is it just the Iranian Jews who should be questioned about their loyalty to their country?
Is this the Iran we want? Do we want an Iran where Iranians can be accused of subversion and disloyalty just because of their faith?
What a shame to see this kind of racism and fascism amongst Iranians who claim to be fair minded and free thinking? Let me guess, you must be an Obama fan too, the man who just got the Nobel peace prize for advocating peace and justice? How ironic!!
It's easy to answer
by IRANdokht on Fri Oct 09, 2009 09:54 AM PDTI never take side with the aggressor.
Why can't people put human lives first and ahead of their religions, nationalities and prejudices?
But I am not jewish so I don't think my answer is what Holly was looking for.

Same question!
by Souri on Fri Oct 09, 2009 09:49 AM PDTSame question came in my mind, but Louie Louie asked it first.
In 1991, right before the Gulf war (US-Iraq for Kuwait) my co-workers asked me the same question. Most of them were Jewish and we had friendly relationship. I just skipped the question by answering that I was not a fanatic Muslim and am always against violation a country, be it by Iraq or USA..........but the real question stayed always unanswered.
I'm not Jewish, but
by Louie Louie on Fri Oct 09, 2009 09:42 AM PDTthe question is very hard to answer; it's like asking "Holly USA" if push came to shove tomorrow, between Iran and US, which side would she support?!
