It seems that Egyptian Gvt is playing a sort of good cop, bad cop game.
Mubarak: if I go now, the Muslim Brotherhood will take over.
Soleiman. I have invited the B'hood for talk. No talk with Elbaradei
Result: if you (the people) persist, the B'hood will take over. If you don't want them, you better support Mubarak. A sinister trick to frighten off the seculars off the streets of Egypt - especially tomorrow (Friday) where B'hood supporters will come out in force.

Last week, Lt. Gen. Sami Hafez Enan, the Egypt’s military chief of staff was in Washington for the highest level strategic talks. According to the NY Times, Gen. James Cartwright, the vice chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff said afterward, he could not discount “hallway” conversations about the protests between the Egyptian and American military commanders.
On Monday, it was revealed that Frank Wisner, the hugely experienced ex-ambassador to Cairo was back in Egypt to meet top Egyptian officials, as the U.S. is looking past President Hosni Mubarak's rule and is urging a political "transition."

Mubarak was CORRECT - The Internationalists KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN and they LIKELY CAUSED IT to OPEN UP AFRICA for FINANCIAL EXPLOITATION!
Turning FOOD into FUEL is wrong.
I know it is disastrous for the poor in Mexico, so I can imagine the threat to other rural economies.

Soft Landing of a dictator
by Jeesh Daram on Thu Feb 03, 2011 04:35 PM PSTIn general dictators are supported by their allies just like any other type of regime does. One of the duties of a dictator is that unless he is assacinated or kicks the bucket on the job, upon termination of his mutual benefitial relationship with the power(s) that supports him, he needs to make sure a soft landing is carried out. In exchange for soft landing of the next dicator he will be granted his pension plan and political assylum that was promised in his employment contract.
Let's take a look at our own modern history, of how kings prepared their departure gradually and methodically. From Ahmad Shah to Mohammad Reza Shah. None of them wanted to resist the manifest destiny or become a last minute hero. The deck of cards are usually so rigged that leaves no choice for the dictator than withdraw the game and accept the chessmate.
President Mobark, is an old man that is dreaming of the retirement a peaceful life and a couple of books or an autobiography engagement. His final mission is to see if a moderate rightist dictator will replace him instead of an Islamic Brotherhood pro-Iran.
I personally think that Egypt can not afford an Islamice style of government with all the restrictions associated with it. Egypt is a poor country that needs tourism revenue, to feed the population along the Nile. Thier next dicator most likely will wear a tie, even if inherently an Islamic Brotherhood card carrying member. Let's wait and see.
Excellent
