I love beer. I don't drink a lot, but when I do, I love beer. Beer doesn't have any nutritional value and it doesn't provide any health benefits, but it is delicious and the buzz you get from it is so much more comfortable than wine. Does it make you sleepy? Yes. But you don't pass out like you do from wine. 

My favorite beers are Tecate and Grolsch. I used to drink Amstel Light, but I stopped buying it a few years ago. What kind of beer do you like? There are so many brands and varieties. I'd like to try good stuff, but I hate to waste my money finding it! Thanks for any suggestions.

I too love beer but I only drink beer when it is sunny and hot. I never have one during winter. Red wine is made specially for those cold winter evenings. When I drink beer I usually have a stout or something dark whick I find to be smooth and flavorful. Cheers mate!

I'm with Abarmard here. Local microbreweries. One of our favorites in Sonoma County California is Lagunitas. They make a mind bending IPA.

Here's a beer tale,

Within days after I joined a home brewing club in the 1990s, I got to be on a panel of beer judges at the county fair. Every brewery--inclduing the ones in basements and garages--competes in these yearly event. Some of the offerings were superb and some were rancid There was one beer however that I loved which made the other judges almost puke. The flavor somehow made me nostalgic for nap time in Tehran's hot summer afternoons. It took me a while to figure out the taste in my mouth because it was so out of context: doogh.

I like local beers

I normally look for microbreweries. It's interesting and fun to find new ones and go with friends. I tend to like richer and darker beers.

During hot summer days or at outdoor games I can always enjoy a chilled Heineken.

I like beer too. Although I regret I never developed an appreciation for wine. Can't hack hard liquor either (unless I just want to get drunk).

My favorite beers are Negra Modelo, Bohemia, Corona (all Mexican). Samual Adams is probably the best American beer. Sierra Neva too. Amstel Light is very nice. I had delicious blonde beer in Belgium. Hefferveisen wheat beer is pretty good, especially at micro breweries.
