This Thursday I leave Chihuahua for Washington and a couple of weeks later I'll be in London. That is if the volcano in Iceland stops coughing up ash. It just happens my flight to London is with Icelandair, via Reykjavik!
I'm hoping to start a part-time job in London. I'll tell you more when I actually have a contract. I'll be there for several months. Maybe more, if everything goes well. I'm mainly looking forward to weekend trips to the best spots in Europe.
So I'll be away from Chihuahua for a considerable time. My sister Michelle has been wonderful in so many ways and we've had some great times together. We've never been this close. I'll miss her very much, and the boys too. And of course Mocha, the cutest dog ever!
There was a little party at my sister's Saturday night when I got a chance to say farewell to some of the good people I have met here and become friends with. I had quite a few tequila shots as well as vodka-filled jello shots! My head is spinning just remembering... >>> photos

by sima on Thu Apr 22, 2010 12:49 PM PDTI just saw this post, I'm glad I did. I'm sure it will be great living in Europe for a while. But it's a little depressing for me! I really enjoyed the days we could get together for a lunch -- though that hasn't been for a while. I hate change!
yes, yes, good
by SamSamIIII on Tue Apr 20, 2010 08:08 PM PDTbut while u r gone, why dont you let your sis moderate so we dont have to deal with some self-infatuated mobser on a power trip to use folks as her/his live psycho therapy subjects. Cheers!!!

by Jahanshah Javid on Tue Apr 20, 2010 02:15 PM PDTMM, iranian.com is my permanent home. I'll be at your service as usual.
Best wishes JJ
by divaneh on Tue Apr 20, 2010 02:04 PM PDTGood luck with whatever you are up to. Looking at that photo 11 I can see that you had knock down quite a few of those. With this being a virtual space, when you say Idios, does it mean that you want to stay off it for sometime or just that you will not be managing it day to day? And lastly, your sister looks really happy in those photos.
good luck JJ

Dear JJ, check Portsmouth in south England too and have fun
by Anahid Hojjati on Tue Apr 20, 2010 07:26 AM PDTDear Jahanshah, In 1995, I spent time in London and Portsmouth.

I had fun. I am sure you will have fun visiting all these countries. Take care and hopefully Volcanic activity will get less so you can travel easily.
Please don't let the BBC get the better of you
by Farah Rusta on Tue Apr 20, 2010 05:26 AM PDTDear JJ
I know you have worked with them in the past and you have friends among them but your remarkably balanced politics and freedom of spirit should not be lost to the Beeb. Take good care of them.
Bon Voyage!

by Jahanshah Javid on Tue Apr 20, 2010 04:09 AM PDTThanks Monda! I'm sure Iceland is a fascinating place. I'll check it out after Italy, Spain, France, Greece, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland ... :>)
Oh Jahanshah,
by Monda on Mon Apr 19, 2010 10:20 PM PDTDo check out Iceland, volcano ashes or not, wear goggles if you must or wear oxygen mask! It is an amazing place and it would total HEYF if you only passed it by.
In advance I wish your sister and the boys, your jaa khali nabaaseh. And you look really good in #11. Nice job, taking such good care of yourself.
