Jam's stuff

I shot these videos for my friend Colin whose work I truly admire. His songs are in my head all the time, and if you can understand French you will appreciate the beauty of these poems. The first one is called "Bois Discret" or "Hidden Forest", and the second one "Jour apres jour" or "Day after day". Evangeline, the opera where these excerpts are from, depicts the plight of an Acadian Girl and her bestowed who are separated by the British Empire's removal of Acadians from their homeland (Nova Scotia of today). The French-canadians were forced at gunpoint from their homes to relocate to Louisiana in order to make room for British settlers.
