I love dancing and I love Persian dancing in particular. I like to share its versatility and sophistication anytime I can. :)
I hope you enjoy this. It defines for me the most special part of Persian culture.

Thanks for telling us the
by comments on Wed Apr 20, 2011 06:06 PM PDTThanks for telling us the reason. You probably know that being suicidal is a type of crime. If you go to a mental hospital and tell them you had the thoughts, you will be hospitalized, which is not bad at all.
Well, I have learned to quickly diagnose myself when I have depression. As soon as you realize the symptoms you will be able to confront it. Most people don't have that ability and reflect their depression otherway usually abusing and insulting their love onces (common for spoiled Iranians). When your girl friend broke up with you, you should have gone to a doctor and used some medication. We live in an advanced time and we don't need to torture ourselves when medications are available.
Your girl friend couldn't broke up suddently. You should have seen her signs in advance. On the other hand, we have a control of our heart. We don't give away too much love to another person. We need to keep some part of that love for ourselves. It's more important to love yourself than others, and you can't love others if you don't love yourself.
My wisdom words :)
That was GREAT!
by Immortal Guard on Wed Apr 20, 2011 06:04 PM PDTI loved it so much. I love the kind of reflective mood this guys brings to the topics he discusses!
He is definitely on the right path to discovering his Persian half! He is definitely tilting now more to his Persian side!
So is his father Rashti too?

I was suicidal
by KamranDanceTeacher on Wed Apr 20, 2011 12:06 PM PDTThank you. I pride myself on teaching in simple down to Earth ways in whatever skill or ability I teach.
To answer your question, my girlfriend, who I was immensely attached to, broke up with me suddenly and it sent me into a massive depression in summer of 2008. It did not really go away until spring 2009. In many ways, it was the hardest time, but also the best of times. I found a lot of love in those around me and within myself. I still have pain within me, but it is healing everyday. I may make a video one day explaining my history, but for now I will play it as it comes.
My thought
by comments on Wed Apr 20, 2011 11:50 AM PDTKamran:
You are an interesting person, and you did a fantastic Persian dance job. I think the reason was that no Iranians have thought of such an instruction for beginners like your initial hand move.
You were talking about difficult times, and I have no idea what to expect from such a relative concept. These are the ideas that came to my mind:
1) death of someone very close
2) your partner with HIV or you with HIV (which is not any hard these days)
3) Someone very close with a malignant cancer with a maximum life time of 6 months.
4) someone with mental health such as Alzeimer that you have to take care of everyday and minute.
I can't think of any thing else...
Thank you Thank you
by KamranDanceTeacher on Wed Apr 20, 2011 11:34 AM PDTI have considered that. I actually did do stand up. Problem is my sense of humor can be very... different. I don't try to be "funny". I try to be real. I tried it out at The Comedy Store in Hollywood. Here's the link:
