Imagine a lovely cat with soft fur and a good appetite who carries a knapsack.. She just came to this world to travel around, talk to people, go to the resturants and eat as much as she can, go to parties and dance with her big belly... which is recently holding a kitten! That is me : Khepeleh! Khepeleh has alot in that knapsack: memories, words, bits and pieces of hearts of whoever she has met in her journey and a big red heart ... Not 2 forget and alot of food!:) Sometimes she opens her knapsack and puts pieces on this blog .. This is how u meet Khepeleh on this earth!
even seeing my daughter wake up today....
It was dark
the room was dark
and I could only see her precious butt pointing upwards...
in the amazingly funny position that she sleeps...
And it's me hovering over the bed...
thinking I need to leave
And I'll be away for straight 8-9 hours before
I can see her again...
touch her soft skin...
Emrge in her big, brownish eyes...
And let my heart go light as she smiles and giggles
Showing off the gap between her front teeth...
It's hard being a mom
But then thinking about the paycheck
It releives me that it's there
for us...
for her...
And today is a Friday...
Happy Friday....

Oh , I remember it was so hard.
by Tahirih on Sat Oct 11, 2008 08:02 AM PDTI can relate to your poem so much , but I had to take him out of warm bed and that was the worst part. Finally I took a year of absence and stayed home with him before grade One. I really believe mothers should be provided with options to be able to stay home for the first 5 years of the child's life.
Best wishes,
Tahirih

the saddest time of the day
by IRANdokht on Fri Oct 10, 2008 02:33 PM PDTI remember mornings were the worst time of the day for me too.
I had to dress my child up while he was still groggy and sleepy, put him in his child seat of the car and drop him off at the sitter's house just as he would wake up and want to cling on to mommy.
it's hard being a mom for sure...
Happy Friday to you too Katayoon khanoom
