This is my contribution to the world through the ink, paper and a little bit of controversy!
Each person's faith in religion is deeply personal it SHOULD not reflect
politics of a country. Nor should a sacred religion be used to oppress, especialy Islam which is the religion of peace. Unfortnately, religion has always and will most likely continue to be used by those in power to create divisions and animosity toward other points of view. Freedom, peace and equality should be in the center of the NEW
FLAG of Iran. Green, White and Red.. no more no less! I salute all of
the Brave souls in Iran. The "green"movement started the process but now it is just a matter of time and the true colors of our people will shine, the green, the white and the red. I am proud to call myself Iranian. And I respect
them for ALL of their beliefs despite differences in faith.
I revisit my drawing from December 7th, 2009.

Veiled Prophet of Khorasan
by KavehAhangarAdel on Tue Jun 22, 2010 05:53 PM PDTI appreciate your passionate point of view. We learn much from our history and we hope to improve who we are. Derafsheh Kaviani was and to this day is regarded as a revolutionary symbol. The new Iran must encompass that rich heritage and much more..... much more.
respectfully.

Real flag
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Tue Jun 22, 2010 11:20 AM PDTof Iranshahr is Darafseh Kaviani. No other flag is as beautiful; good or true to our nature. We have abandoned our Sassanid heritage for too long. The only way to greatness is to accept our identity with open arms and welcome it.
That identity goes right to the Sassanids and Darafseh Kaviani.
Nature abhors a vaccum
by KavehAhangarAdel on Tue Jun 22, 2010 11:01 AM PDTSo, I KNOW that it will be filled.
@fooladi: The repair or the the content or icon of that repair will be at the discretion of our people who live there, who have always fought for their rights to be FREE and to have EQUALITY regardless of certain belief system, creed, language or political affiliation.
@ Darius: agree. Alas, the Republic of my imagination is quite limited in comparison to the people who live in IRAN. I would love to see them represented in the heart of our flag.

Experience suggests that If you don't fill in the hole ...
by Darius Kadivar on Tue Jun 22, 2010 08:00 AM PDTYou risk to lose what it contains:

Which explains why you will need to cover the vaccum on your flag with something more appropriate:

I interpret it as a small dent into oiur nationl flag
by fooladi on Tue Jun 22, 2010 07:49 AM PDTWhich can be easily patched over time. How visible the patch after the fix, would be a function of the repair operation.....
fooladi....
by KavehAhangarAdel on Tue Jun 22, 2010 06:06 AM PDTYou didn't read too much into it. It is open to interpretation. What do you think it signifies?
@Majid thank you.
Beautiful sketch, Thank you Kaveh
by fooladi on Mon Jun 21, 2010 11:11 PM PDTJust a question, what does the hole in the middle of the flag supposed to signify (f any) or am I trying to read too much into this?
AWESOME drawing
