by yolanda on Sun Jan 17, 2010 07:52 AM PSTHi! Anahid,
I have checked this guy out. Apparently he is a hugely popular Islamic singer, featured in Time magazine. He has a lot of fans around the world. His videos on you-tube have a lot of hits. He also recorded the song "Mother" in Arabic and Turkish......he is Azeri Iranian. All his songs are purely Islamic, all women are fully-veiled without showing a single strand of hair in his music videos.
I saved this video You came to me, it has over 700,000 hits on you-tube.
thanks,
Dear yolanda, Your comment is priceless :)
by Anahid Hojjati on Sat Jan 16, 2010 03:09 PM PSTDear yolanda, At first I just listened to Farsi part but then, I saw that you had written:"The English part sounds a little strange, it is like mixing pomegranate juice with Coca Cola!" So I listened to English part and then I realized that your comment was to the point. I liked the Farsi part.

by yolanda on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:12 AM PSTThe Farsi part sounds more authentic 'cause the melody is Persian. The English part sounds a little strange, it is like mixing pomegranate juice with Coca Cola! Where was the video filmed? Iran? England? Is the lady in the video his wife?
I have saved the video. The melody sounds great!
