A Note of Gratitude to Dariush Kadivar

Just wanted to express my gratitude to Dariush Kadivar for his contributions to this site. I, for one, usually read many of his posts. I agree with about 20% of them, disagree with about 40%, and am ambivalent about 40%. Whether I agree or disagree with him and his positions, I find his posts interesting and educational.

The most decent among us at Iranian.com strongly and unambiguously struggle against the fundamentalist terrorist regime. Whether one agrees or disagrees with Dariush, one is certain that he is against the fundamentalist terrorist regime ruling our beloved homeland.

This wonderful site includes many posters and contributors. It is the diversity of opinions and analyses that make this site so wonderful.

Dear Dariush,

Thank you.

Best,

Masoud

Thank you DK.  I enjoy sharing your cultural pieces with friends and family around the world.  This just in from a friend in Iran (yes, Iranian.com as well as BBC is accessible in Iran) on your link to the BBC feature on Jalleh Pezeshki's brilliant presentation of the sublime poetry of Hafez //www.bbc.co.uk/persian/tv/2008/12/000000_ptv... "Thank you. This was soo interesting and new. I am proud of her."

Cultural exchange at it's best!

Is it safe to presume that you're including yourself among the least decent?Just wondering.

Yes, once again  I the Ceasar declare this site to be wonderful.

O Ceasar, learn to spell Caesar--as in I came, I saw, and I made lame attempts at humor. I do not think your TOEFL instructor would be impressed by your English or failure to make us laugh (even out of pity). Cheers :-)

A Note of Gratitude to Sargord Pirouz

by i_support_khamenie on

Just wanted to express my gratitude to Sargord Pirouz for his contributions to this site. (Yes, I like to think of myself as the owner and manager of this site.  My monetary contributions are non of your business and it's the idea that counts).

I, for one, usually read many of his posts. I agree with about 17% of them, disagree with about 43%, and am ambivalent about 40%. Whether I agree or disagree with him and his positions, I find his posts interesting and educational. (I'm sure y'all were on your hands and knees waiting for the Presidential vote breakdown).

The most decent among us at Iranian.com strongly and unambiguously struggle against the fundamentalist terrorist regime. Whether one agrees or disagrees with Sargord, one is certain that he is against the fundamentalist terrorist regime ruling our beloved homeland.   (I hope this sentence impresses my TOEFL instructor and lands me a job with a marketing company)

This wonderful site includes many posters and contributors. It is the diversity of opinions and analyses that make this site so wonderful.

(Yes, once again  I the Ceasar declare this site to be wonderful)

Dear SP,  (Yes, I will come up with my own twist on the English   language and write what should go at the beginning of the letter at its tail end.  But that is to throw off all you who doubt my crippled English skills.  It's a way to show, that  I am another Maya Angelou in the making).

Thank you.  (I'm sure Sargord was waiting for my Praise.  How he must be demolished after all the attacks.  And here I come on a white stallion to deliver justice and victory to the fallen one.  Yes, I am the liberator, I will defend Sargord against all the spears.  I will be the "Mature" one, the one everyone will look up to for wisdom)-

Best,  (oh, I forgot.  I so desperately want a girl to get to love me.  I'm sorry, I didn't take my meds.  But, it's the truth.  I need a woman so baaadly.  All this was nothing but another in a long series of acts to get female attention. So.....Sargord...please....HELP HELP HELP.  I know you have your hat on, talk French and post totally irrelevant Youtube videos...I know you're just as big of a loser as me...you like the Prince, and I love Maryam Rajavi but we are bonded by things stronger than Van Der Wall adhesion, we're bonded by the all the ostracization from the female community...but we have each other.....HA MAMA)

Dear Darius

by Boomerang on

DK is a true gentleman and a class act with immense knowledge of Iran. He is a *true patriot* and I respect him tremendously. The man is highly informative, higly courageous, interesting with a unique perspective, fair and at times bitingly funny, specially when it comes to putting down hezis like Q.

In short, Darius is a rare asset to this site, and I suspect JJ knows this fact all too well (the man cannot be replaced, whereas the rest of us are a dime a dozen!) -- in fact, without Darius, Fred and SamSam and a few others, this site would be for the birds -- and by birds I mean lushkhors.

Best regards to Darius and his mission,

Sassan (aka, Boom Shakalaka, Spear, Free, Nusha Arzu)

we all searching for the knowledge and searching for democracy for our beloved Iran,if we all respect one another and their opinion we could have a better union for free country with all type of believes for better society, freedom means collective of ideas,

Darious is advocating the person RP which stands for free and democratic Iran and there is nothing wrong with that and with union of all freedom seekers Iran can be what we all want, lable of monarchy or republic or federalisim or any other brands have one goal and that is free country and free from killing and torture and imprisonment for right or wrong ideas.

people like Sargord Pasdar even welcomed to free Iran and yet it is not clear where is he from,he is Iranian or arab or paki or just the spoiler.

Darius the monarchist...

by yousef on

I am 180 out of phase with him politically. He is brash and harsh on me when we discuss monarchism. He does not like Republicanism, he hates federalism. Dont mention socialism to him, unless you want a monty Python clip as revenge!

But I like him! He is a fellow Iranian who happens to disagree with me on politics. But in a democratic Iran we will build after the islamist regime is overthrown, the pluralism would be the dynamic force pushing forward our society, free of islamist fascism.

I admire DK for his courage for posting his views under his own name, given the obvious risks attached to that. Just contrast this with all these islamists cowards, posting anti Iranian messages of Hate, under false identities, and this is when their paymasters are still in power! What are you frightened and ashamed of guys?!

Dear Masoud: Your comments on DK despite your own political disagreements with him, only re inforces my views on you as one of the most honest and patriotic Iranians on this site.

Again, nice to see how the islamist fascists can unite Iranians! Thank you again the islamist regime for paying for this to happen :)

I also enjoy Darius Kadivar's posts. I especially like the ones he has about arts. My politics are different than Darius but even in that area, I like some of his posts like when he writes about Bakhtiar. Great job, Darius.

Darius yes Fred No

by MOOSIRvaPIAZ on

I agree more or less with your post about Dariush. He is a great contributor, even though I disagree with a lot of what he has to say and sometimes find his tv references as a response to people offensive and rude.

Disagree wholeheartedly about your Fred post however. Fred is simply an armchair sanctions / (and remove-regime-by-any-means-even-war) evangelist who does not have his priorities straight.

But let's focus on Darius! This blog should remain mainly about him and not me...:-)

Actually, when I wrote my comment I hadn't yet checked the rest of IC...Now I understand the reason for writing these two similar blogs, and I totally agree with you.

Thanks again, Azarin

Dear Azarin,

I wanted to express my gratitude to BOTH of them, and did not want each to be too different. There are some differences between the two posts. I wanted the parallel to be there.

While I am at it, let me thank YOU for your wonderful stories. You are very sensitive and truly decent human being. Thank YOU for your posts and stories here. I wish I could write one tenth as well as you can.

Best regards,

Masoud

Darius is the best on Iranian.com!

by Azarin Sadegh on

Soon, I will stop reading almost everyone else on IC but Darius! His posts are the most entertaining, thought provoking and intelligent ones! I have learned so much from him...plus he is funny too...even when he gets mad!

I agree with 90% of his posts, disagree with 1% and ambivalent with 9%..:-)

BTW, why did you write two similar blogs about Darius and Fred? I've never read Fred...but if he is as entertaining as Darius, I will definitely read him too!
