Did we have forgiving eyes or lower standards as we watch Googoosh and enjoy her every move which was full of charm. Regardless of what she was wearing, if she had short or long hair, if the song was happy or sad, if she was just sitting and looking at the camera or if she was dancing with the song you did not want to blink so you will not lose a fraction of second of her performance. Or was it the stage and the lighting that gave it so much glamour.. Or is it that her time has passed and she better leave us with the good memories and avoid these kind of performances? You be the judge..

BTW was she on her way doing grocery shopping and she was stopped and brought over to sing?
Disappointed,
Massoud

maybe there was a deleted blog
by American Wife on Fri Oct 24, 2008 03:22 PM PDTcause I sure don't see anything ghetto mentality or ANYTHING about arabs.
anyhoo... I personally think she is terribly overrated. Perhaps I'm just jealous... my husband thinks she's the best thing since sliced bread. We ALL get a little too old to do the things we did when we were young. And we all try to deny it as well. If I had the money you can be assured I'd be getting a little "help". If you don't like her, don't listen. If you do, you're never ever going to notice she's past her prime. Just like I see Dylan in his 20's....:0)
Re: Oh come on
by Massoud on Fri Oct 24, 2008 06:59 AM PDTWho said there was anything wrong with Googoosh having fans outside of Iran or any exclusivity for her followers. Did you enjoy her performance? I didn't. It made me doubt that she was ever really that good. That was point. Not that she had Arab fans.
Oh Come On ...
by Darius Kadivar on Fri Oct 24, 2008 03:08 AM PDTI think she was great and what is wrong with her having Arab Fans ? She also has fans in Lebanon and Syris and other Arab Speaking countries.

I Really can't understand your Ghetto Mentality ? Why be exclusive when it comes to Art ? In addition she sings in Persian so it is also encouraging Persian Cultural influence on the region. What do you suggest turning Iran into an Island in the Middle East ? It already is with our junky government and its lack of cultural policy ...
Here is another Wonderful Googoosh Song for Her Iranian Diaspora Fans :
