... I could say this is typically Iranian, lots of Chert-o-pert Goftan until the truth is unearthed, but who cares, this won´t change the next 500 years anyway ...

Besides: 1) 1998 there was no Asian Cup, Iran won the the football tournament of the Asian Games in Bangkok; 2) the manager was Mansour Pourheidari and not Mayeli Kohan.

Any other Chert-o-pert for us?

Ask JJ why he didn't feature your blog. I was mad at him once, why he didn't feature my blog of "marg ghou" and I said I don't post any poem anymore.........But you, shouldn't do ghahr like this, we love your poems and you should let us enjoy all of them. They are always featured indeed.

JJ loves art and literature, but maybe he decided that this news was not as important as the last one. That's the only thing I can guess, dear.

Mayeli Kohan is not a very knowledgeable coach, in the past he did not succeed twice in leading team melli and the omids but once he was succesfull in 1998 Asian cup, but his success there is attributed to the fantastic performance of the trio: Daei-Azizi-Bagheri.

Anyway, from what I know of him I have very little hope that he will succeed, but you never know...

Good News/ Bad News

OK, I had a good news, now I have a bad news, which one do you want?!

The good news was that Afshin Ghotbi became Iran's team melli head coach and in the article you can see my link (IRan Press).

The bad news is that the good news is wrong and Mayeli Kohan is the head coach now!

Apparently they have changed their mind at the last minute again and chosen the worst candidate instead of the best!

If this is true, I give all hopes for this 2010 world cup. Let us think for the 2014 !
