Only clip of Reza Shah Pahlavi w/ voice is in Turkish

This is, supposedly, the only video of Reza Shah I that was found in Turkey where the voice of Reza Shah I can be heard. And, he is speaking Turkish w/ Kamal Atatu. He does not sound as tough as many say he was.

پس از گذشت ۷۶ سال ، فیلم یازدید رضا شاه کبیر از ترکیه و مکالمه او با کمال آتا تورک که در آن صدای رضا شاه نیز شنیده می شود بر حسب تصادف در شهر استامبول پیدا و از شبکه های تلویزیونی این کشور پخش شد .
آنگونه که رسانه های ترکیه گزارش داده اند ، یکی از اساتید دانشگاه به نام" سامی شکر اوغلو" که برای خرید میوه به یکی از میوه فروشیهای استانبول رفته بود مشاهده می کند که صاحب مغازه سرگرم تراشیدن حلقه هائی از نگاتیو فیلم است . استاد دانشگاه بر حسب کنجکاوی از او دلیل تراشیدن فیلمیها را می پرسد . میوه فروش توضیح می دهد که با تراشیدن فیلمها و اضافه کردن ماده "استون " به آن ، خمیری را درست می کند که از آن برای چسباندن تکه های فیلم استفاده می شود .

در این هنگام ، نظر استاد دانشگاه متوجه بر چسب یکی از حلقه های می شود که روی آن نام "آتا تورک " نوشته شده بود. به میوه فروش پیشنهاد می کند که آن را به بهای حدود دویست دلار از او خریداری کند . میوه فروش که با شنیدن پیشنهاد استاد دانشگاه شگفت زده شده یود ، می گوید " من باز هم از اینگونه فیلمها در انبار دارم " . به این ترتیب حلقه های فیلمهای خبری قدیمی از جمله فیلم خبری سفر رضا شاه به ترکیه از انبار میوه فروش خارج می شود و در دسترس رسانه ها قرار می گیرد .
لازم به توضیح است که بررسی سوابق انبار میوه فروش روشن می کند که این محل قبلا استودیوی یک شرکت تولید فیلمهای خبری به نام " ایپک" بوده که در آن سالها فعال بوده است . "

Atta didn't have to deal with mullahs ( or at least not as much as in Iran). What wiki and all the rest of 'Western' academia don't understand is the specifity of Iran, at least in the past 150 years (with a virtual, and now a  real domination of clergy). New Secularism site has a good Persian translation of Atta's life, cheers

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk; indeterminate, 1881–10 November 1938, was a Turkish army officer, revolutionary statesman, writer, and founder of the Republic of Turkey, as well as the first Turkish President.  Atatürk became known as an extremely capable military officer during World War I.  Following the defeat of the Ottoman Empire in WWI, he led the Turkish national movement in the Turkish War of Independence. much more advanced and "radical" in his modernization of Turkey as opposed to the modernization in Iran ( under both Reza Shah and Mosadegh). Wonder why? ( it's a rhetorical question!)

برام چقدر جالبه که معلم تاریخ ما می گفت رضا شاه قرار بود سفر سه روزه بره ولی اینقدر به آتاتورک و پیشرفت های ترکیه در آن زمان علاقه مند شد که یکماه اونجا موند. جذابیت این فیلم در اینه که هردو مرد وطن پرست به بزرگی همدیگر واقفند و احترام متقابلی که بین این دو برقراره به وضوح دیده میشه. نه مثل دیدارهای تشریفاتی الان که هیچ نوع ارتباطی رو بین سران کشورها احساس نمیکنی و فقط برای دوربین تلویزیون فیگور میان. درود بر روان پاک هردو ابرمرد.

I watched this a while a go, I was amazed to read about the clip's discovery. it's supposedly recovered from a "fruit marked" in Istanbul bought from a boy by a Turkish professor!
