Baha’is grow by leaps and bounds in Phoenix

“Plant something in the right environment, and watch it grow,” says Kaveh Shahidi, talking about a Baha'i children’s class in Phoenix that experienced phenomenal growth. In just six months, attendance blossomed from 20 to 120 students as participants told their friends about the class and Baha’is publicized its existence in the neighborhood.

The most impressive aspect of the class’ growth is that the majority of the students are not Baha’is, says Mr. Shahidi, one of about 100 grassroots community advisers serving the U.S. Baha’i community.

The Baha'i message of the oneness of humanity resonates with the parents of these children, who are learning about the divine origin of all the world religions in addition to the Baha’i Faith.

Two of the students in the children’s class became Baha’is, which encouraged their parents to do the same after learning about the Faith’s message of hope for humanity.

Add these new Baha’is to the number of those who joined the Faith as a result of Baha'i classes, study circles and prayer gatherings in nearby neighborhoods, and you have 66 new members of the Faith in Phoenix in the past six months.

“Our classes, some of which are held in Spanish, are efforts at community building,” says Marilyn Sanchez, another grassroots community adviser. “Most of our participants are Mexican and Cuban, but some of them had never spoken to each other before, and now they do. And they share prayers in their own language.”

The next step, Ms. Sanchez and Mr. Shahidi say, is to “deepen” the new members of the Faith through study circles, which the public is encouraged to attend. The two advisers say the new members are so eager that it shouldn’t be long before they start organizing these events themselves.

It seems there are "gullible" people all over the world, especially in our own country, where by all accounts this gullibility has reached its height as a result of the rising "popularity" of the Islamic republic's promotion of its brand of religion and Islam...

Here is a sample of such gullibility; not a gullible American, but one of our own...

Read and comprehend his words; his gullibility goes as far as doing his "jostehju" or research; how gullible he must be to have the audacity to do actual research.

 

دیدگاه من

در آیین بهایی مطالب بسیار متنوع و نوینی مطرح شده که هر انسان جستجوگر و طالب یادگیری را به خود جلب مینماید و جا برای مطالعه و بررسی روی هر کدام بسیار بسیار است. به قول ادوین تافلرامروز بیسواد کسی است كه خود را آماده آموختن مطالب جدید نمی کند وبه نظر من اثار بهایی منبع قابل توجهی از دیدگاهها برای انسان امروزی مهیا میکند.
مثلا نکته بسیار قابل توجهی که به نظر بنده به عنوان یک پژوهشگر یا طالب آموختن در آیین بهایی مطرح گردیده الهیات نوین بهایی است.این طور که بنده مطالعه کردم وازاین مطالعه فهمیدم این الهیات برپایه و اساسی استوار است تحت عنوان استمرار ظهورات الهیه. یعنی اعتقاد به ابدی بودن فیض و وحی الهی اساس جهان بینی توحیدی این آیین را تشکیل میدهد.مطابق این نگاه هیچ دینی به معنای مطلق کامل نیست و کمال ادیان بالنسبه به زمان و مکان میباشد. به نظر بنده این تعلیم یا نگاه مذهبی میتواند راه حلی برای منازعات و مخاصمات و برتری جوییهای مذهبی در عصر حاضر باشد.عصری که در
گیریهای داخلی بین مذاهب از یکسو و بدبینی و سوتفاهم جهان امروز نسبت به مذاهب موجود از سوی دیگر سبب فاصله گرفتن دین از حیات فردی و اجتماعی انسانها گردیده.
به نظر بنده انحصارطلبی دینی و یا اینکه حقیقت مطلق تا ابد در نزد مرامی خاص باشد با حقیقت وجودی انسان و اجتماعات انسانی که ناگزیر از تغییر و تبدیل و حرکت و تکامل هستند مطابقت ندارد و در طول تاریخ زیانهای بسیاری به بار آورده است تا اینکه این موضوع را به عنوان آموزه و تعلیمی دینی در آثار و نوشتجات این آیین دیدم.البته این موضوع با مثالهای زیاد و متنوعی در آثار بهایی مطرح گردیده که به تفهیم موضوع بسیار کمک میکنند. مثلا مواردی را که بنده مطالعه نموده ام تشبیه پیامبران یا فرستادگان الهی است به آینه و پزشک.یعنی آینه های متعدد منعکس کننده یک نور واحد هستند
ولی شدت و زاویه تابش این نور بالنسبه به شرایط و ظرفیت ما متفاوت میشود و یا در مثال پزشک میبینیم که هدف پزشک شناخت و درمان بیماری انسان است و چه بسا که برای درمان بیماری خاصی نسخه قبلی خود را نسخ مینماید و نسخه ای متناسب با بیماری جدید تجویز میکند وهیچ یک از ما به خاطر این مسئله پزشک را مورد مواخذه قرار نمیدهیم.در این رابطه در آثار آیین بهایی خواندم که:
(رگ جهان در دست پزشک داناست درد را میبیند و به دانایی درمان میکند.درد امروز را درمانی و فردا را درمانی دیگرامروز را نگران باشید و سخن از امروز رانید………) در هر صورت این موضوع از موضوعات مورد توجه بنده در مطالعاتم بوده که دوست داشتم با شما و سایر دوستان در میان بگذارم.

در ضمن جسارتا پیشنهاد میکنم که در صورت تمایل بخشی را در سایتتان اختصاص دهید به انعکاس این مطالب تا دوستانی که نظرات ویا بررسیها و مطالعاتی روی جنبه های مختلف آیین بهایی یا به طور کلی دیانت در دنیای امروز داشته و دارند با طرح آنها زمینه مناسبتری برای کسب بینش و آگاهی و آموختن برای هر طالبی فراهم آید.

 When will the human race become mature enough to reject all religion and achieve eternal peace?
