Why Radical Islam speak loudest.

A man whose family was Jewish German aristocracy prior to WWII owned a
number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German
people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude
toward fanaticism
'Very few people were true Nazis 'he said,' but
many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to
care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of
fools. So the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then,
before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end
of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a
concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.'
We are told again and again by 'experts' and 'talking heads' that Islam
is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just
want to live in peace.
Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely
irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and
meant to somehow diminish the spectre of fanatics rampaging across the
globe in the name of Islam. The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at
this moment in history.
It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50
shooting wars worldwide It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter
Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking
over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who
bomb, behead, murder, or honor kill. It is the fanatics who take over
mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the
stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals.
The hard quantifiable fact is that the 'peaceful majority' the 'silent
majority' is cowed and extraneous. Communist Russia comprised Russians
who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were
responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful
majority were irrelevant.
China's huge population, it was peaceful as well, but Chinese
Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.
The average Japanese individual prior to World War 2 was not a
warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across
South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic
murder of 12 million Chinese civilians most killed by sword, shovel and
bayonet.
And, who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not
be said that the majority of Rwandans were 'peaceful & loving'?
History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our
powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of
points: Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their
silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak
up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awake one day and
find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have
begun.
Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Rwandans, Serbs,
Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many
others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until
it was too late.
As for us who watch it all unfold; we must pay attention to the only
group that counts; the fanatics who threaten our way of life.

mehdi

by Nate on

No mehdi, the point of the article was not to single out fanatic muslims as subhuman. its upsetting to me that thats the message i got accross.

the point was to not repeat history, and to notice a global threat before it gets out of anybodies hands. To notice a pattern of error that will eventually end up in mass bloodshed, all due to selcective hearing

to say that israel treats subhumans as such- is also untrue. Samir
kuntar, who murdered 4 people from 0 renge including 2 babies with his
hands, got married in the israeli prison under israeli protection. he
later graduated from the open university in israel, recieving 2 degrees
in social and political science.

.THIS subjest has nothing to do with the way Israel chooses to defend its borders, because they are not a global threat, therefore irrelevant.

please try see the big picture instead of taking my post so personally.

thanks for hearing me

I will buy your argument when

by Mehdi on

you change the title to "Why Radicals speak loudest," and take out one specific religion. You seem to have made up your mind that the so-called radical Muslims are sub-humans and do not have any rights. If you were truly interested in something fair, you would start by saying religions are being used for political ends, such as Jewish faith that has been used to justify land-grab and personal greed. Why single out only one fanatic group and not others? I don't use ZioNazi to insult - I use it because it is very descriptive of the way these pests operate.

your juvenile use of the term "Zionazi" walks before you. you will never have any interest in learning there side or there story, and you have already made up your mind. i dont dignify responses to people like you. People that use the term "Zionazi", regardless to how right or wrong they can be on a subject, or how much I personally agree with them on the matter, are a waste of time for everyone.

so go post your own article, and mention whoever you like. I think The Article uses pretty good examples.

And regardless: even if i did mention Israeli violence- the message in this peice would remain the same. Does this article personally offend you? is that why you are so quick to mention violence that has nothing to do with the article whatsoever, in any way, shape, or form?

you hit it right on the  nail. Your essay is what we call them constructive criticism. Well done. Please keep it coming.

Innocent people from all walks of life and religions - including Muslims themseves are dying by the hand of this fanatics every day. It is time, for the moderate and as you had pointed out "silent majority" to set aside the backword dogma of not critisizing any Muslims whom according to them, he / she carrying the world of allah. No they don't.

Also I might add. have you notivrd how lowd the speak in the MIc. Listen to my favorite demagogue Nassrallah. He shouts when he addresses the crowed.

Their objective is obvious one. overwhelm these gullible and young man senses, and their raging testosterone, such  that, they would not  be able to read the speaker's ball shit between the line.

"ah" they tell the cheering crowd "go down with flames, and glory. 72 brand new, and late model Virginas are waiting to serve your pleasure. All you have to do..........................!!!!!!!, is to get there to collect the booty.

A good muslim...

by Anonymous irani (not verified) on

A true man of god would look into mirror each day try to improve upon himself every day and make a better person of himself as all (wo)men are flawed and deserve improvement.

Otherwise, anytime someone tries to improve upon others by imposing his views and forcing others to go to the already crowded heaven you should doubt his/her honesty, as this person has no country and no god and no religion, he is only deceiving others (and maybe him/herself too) in (un)conscious long for wealth and power.

All islamists, including those who staged the disasterous revolution by deceit and lies and those who have been ruling iran for the past 30 years fall into the second category. They are simply deceiving in pursuit of their personal ambitions, nothing more; otherwise, none have any country or religion, and do not give a damn about anyone, iranian or non-iranian.

Loudest or Most Featured?

by PedramMoallemian on

Dear Nate;

Assuming you are here with an honest agenda and truly want feedback, my suggestion is to turn off your television. Just because the fanatics are sensationalized by the Fox and CNN's of the world, the gloomy image you portray above is far from reality.

Iran is a great example. A country ruled by one sect within what you described as if they are a common front. But for every step they have taken forward, the Iranian people have managed to push them back two. If they restrict women's rights, women find ways of breaking down barriers through education and broader representation in the society, for example.

However, as most of the western media is still primarily in the business of entertainment rather than journalism, picking up on good vs. evil and end day prophecies of a limited group with sinister motives is still far sexier and gets more viewers, advertisers, revenues.

Hope that helps,

Pedram Moallemian, Los Angeles

Will you object to ZioNazi killing too?

by Mehdi on

Or is it not something you have any interest in? 60 years of violence should have some criticism, no?
