I am in possession of a fabulous item which I would like to share with you. Every year, I become desperate around the last few days befor Nowruz, wondering what to give my friends and family as eidi, (Nowruz gift) in lieu of cash gifts. Last year I gave my friends and family a fabulous deck of Persian styled playing cards which was a great success! I think I have found the perfect gift to give out this year again!

I have written about Mohsen Namjoo and his San Francisco concerts a couple of times before. In my humble opinion, you haven’t seen Mohsen Namjoo until you have seen him perform live on stage. The great music, the exceptional lyrics, and his fantastic stage presence mesmerize you every time. Of course the audience’s reactions to the memorable performances should not be missed, either.

This year my gift to my friends and family, specially the ones who are Namjoo lovers is his two San Francisco concerts on high quality DVD. What’s more, the DVD also includes a CD version of the songs, so they can listen to the audio files in their cars or at home. If such a thing is possible, the DVD features his performances in even better quality than the ones to which we were treated this past Fall.

With Nowruz just around the corner, this should make a perfectly affordable gift to all who enjoy Namjoo’s poetry and music. You can order the DVD through Beyond Persia’s website.  My DVD arrived only two days after I had placed the order.

I just got this my copy ( I ordered it Thurs. I live in NY) and am surprised it has about 30 songs on it! This is very good, Nice to see Persian music done in a quality way for change instead of embarrassing reproductions of gogoosh at grocery store. This the best eidy EVER. You are right Mrs. Nazy.
