Are we ready for a true democracy?

There are so many people who are feeding off the IRI that they make sure that regime is going to survive. These guys are controlling everything. You practically have a military regime like no. korea. The head of every organization is one of their own. They are bunch of determined and ruthless guys who happend to own all the weapons, money, power and everything in between.

They have acquired all the wealth through corruption and intimidation. The lust for power and money would not allow them to give it all up. One thing is for sure that the mollahs are like priests and rabbis who are very stubborn and revengeful people who would never give up their power unless they are forced to. 

Are the greens capable of over-throwing the regime? Are they as mean as as the mollahs and the basijis? I am afraid not! Just imagine the leftist democrats trying to fight against the die-hard radical republicans. Guess who is going to win the war on the streets! They have no merci and they would fight to the end. 

So, if we are to win, we would need to be much meaner and ready to sacrifice many more. You cannot just run away from the basiji, when attacked, and expect to win this uprising. So, how are we going to win peacefully?

Have we ever thought who and what would be this would be replaced with? Remember the Shah? They just wanted get rid of him and they ended up replacing him with something and someone much worse! Let's not repeat the same mistake and plan this as any war. There are many groups like MEK and many others who hope to be in charge!

We need to have a comprehensive strategy. I wish the best for our brothers and sisters in Iran! My prayers and heart, just like you, is with them! One dead is too many for these satans!

To achieve true democracy, first we need to change our attitute!

We criticize the regime for being undemocractic when we are almost as undemocractic. We are democractic, as long as we agree with liberal views, but when views are conservative we want to cut them off. Regime does, what most of you do in terms of democracy. They do it, because they can! We need a paramount change in our attitute!

We have to respect different views, if we are going to achieve a true democracy. Why do you think that all religious people are wrong, since you are not religious? Is it possible that you are wrong too? Can we be less judgemental and let be?

Unless we change our attitute, we cannot and should not achieve our goal! There is a lot of hard work ahead of us and one demonstration won't do the trick! They are hanging on tough! Don't lose hope!

I am all with you! However, we should define what we mean by democracy. What I hear from LA TV channels sound more like business as usual, than democracy. They find new ways to steal people's power (if that is democracy) as we have withnessed in the past couple of hundred years. For a brief definition of democracy, There is an interesting article on www.bakherad.blogspot.com

Reminds me of the video that I saw here about the green people in front of the paris embassy and how peacefully they were protesting and how iri guys were ready to kill them. INA HAMEH LAATAN. YE MOSHT ADAMEH NAFAHM VA VAHSHI.

The people of Iran, the majority, have not been angry enough to join the movement. I believe this has to do with translation issue. The vast majority of working class has not been able to communicate with the wants and needs of the Green movement. Until that is not fixed, the majority will not come out in support of the greens.

Strategy one: Make your ideas pleasant to the ears of poor and working class.

(Secular Democracy is a meaningless term to them. What's in it for them, we need to answer that clearly)

Hi! Obama,

     Wow! This is your 1st blog and it got featured right away, you must be doing something right! Great job!

   I watched "American Idol", so missed PBS.....I watched National Park (Death Valley) on TV less than 10 days ago, it was absolutely fun!

Don't worry about if anyone writes back.....apparently you got the validation by IC, it is a good start! I know I can never write a blog, I love to read blogs for sure.

This is my first time writing a blog. After last night, I realized that hey whay not give it a try. I guess, it worked and you would always be the first person who wrote back for rest of my life (may be the only!) Lotf kardid!
